  1. Thanks - that seems like a good option. https://www.thaiwatsadu.com/th/product/แผ่นยิปซัม-ชนิดทนไฟ-13-มม-GYPROC-ขนาด-120-x-240-ซม-60253095 How about using this stuff with some fibreglass insulation above it?
  2. Sadly not possible, we need a solution that uses the existing roof panels.
  3. Hi, I need to insulate a roof on a bar as cheaply as possible. I'm not sure what the roof type is called, but it's very common here, this is what it looks like underneath: When the sun is on it it's literally too hot to touch the underside and this heat is radiating down into the area below, making it crazy hot in the space. I would rather deal with this with something from underneath as it would save the headache of working on it from above, weight issues etc. Is there something I can stick or paint on the underside that would block a decent amount of the heat out, it doesn't need to be 100% effective, 80--90% would be good enough. Thanks in advance.
  4. Looking for a local (Thai) painter/decorator that can repair a water damaged ceiling - any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
  5. The Cannabis forum here on Asean Now used to be quite helpful and informative, what happened?

    Toppers!

Yeah exactly, some things you need to actually see before you buy, toppers are one them!

    Toppers!

Why is it when you post in a forum asking where to buy something in a physical location, there is always someone that says look on Lazada? Who needs to be told that lazada or shopee sells things in 2023? This is one product that I have bought on lazada before and it was not good at all. I want to check out the product before I buy it, however difficult a concept that might be. Helpful suggestions most welcome. Many thanks.

    Toppers!

Any recommendations for good value for money mattress toppers in Pattaya, save me driving around 20 shops.... ???? Looking for something that softens up a hard mattress. Thanks in advance.
  11. I'm not sure they fully understood the whole double glazing concept, just easier to say no. Plus don't really want to drop that kind of money on them.
  12. Also cost would be quite high, we are only there for a year or two max
  13. Yeah that's a good idea, I will see what I can find plastic wise. Thanks.
  14. There is definitely ground noise going on as well. Can't believe nobody here sells self install secondary double glazing, there must be a market for it for windows at least.
  15. Traffic noise, sorry I should have put that in my original post.
  16. I need to sound proof a couple of sliding doors in a shop house: There are two of these measuring 180cm wide and 210cm high, plus a window of the same design that measures 150cm wide by 110cm high. I am not allowed by the landlord to change them, I need to find a solution that does not alter their appearance from the outside. There is a balcony outside that I can grow some big plants on which will probably help a bit, but really is very noisy so looking to do as much as possible. Anybody had any joy with doing something like this before? Many thanks in advance.
  17. I got caught out earlier in the year and purchased a mint condition 2003 Honda Accord V6 3.0l with just 89,000k on the clock. Little did I know that the transmissions on these cars had a problem and most need replacing at some point - mine has just failed on me. As the car is in otherwise great condition and low mileage, I will fix try to fix it rather than scrap it. So, I need to find either a 2006 replacement transmission or a transmission specialist somewhere in Thailand that has a good rep and will give me a reasonable length warranty on their work. Any and all suggestions for where to find either the replacement engine or the suitable mechanic would be very welcome. I am in Pattaya and know a guy that can do the swap out, but no way would I trust him to do the rebuild. I can send the car on truck anywhere else in Thailand, for the right person to fix it. Many thanks in advance.
  18. This worked for me: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i3438459204-s12718268694.html I used it on a Honda Accord 2003 with leaking power steering. I bought a 100ml syringe off Lazada and it came with a catheter attachment, sucked out 355ml of the existing power steering fluid and put this stop leak in. Took the car to a cleaning place with an inspection pit and got them them to clean the underside of the engine. Since then no leaks.
  19. I can't speak for the person you are trying to insult but I think it would be fair to say that if you call somebody a pot head in 2023 a fair response would be that you are a retard. ????
  20. This "Clown" is one of the smartest people in Thai politics. He has numerous business interests that are covered briefly here: https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/politics/451056 He managed to legalise weed in a country that used to lock people up for smoking joint, which hurt nobody. He bought a classic car off an English friend of mine here in Thailand and was polite, friendly and engaging at all times (when in reality he could have just taken through other means it if he wanted). He is now the Interior minister of Thailand, the second most powerful in the government. What exactly have you achieved recently, that makes you so tired of seeing Anutin's face?
  21. I have a company that is only there for a domain name registration, it's not active in any way. I completely forgot to do the end of year balance sheet for 2022 and when I asked my bookkeeper to go ahead and submit it, she has said there is a 16k fine for late submission, which sounded a bit steep... After Googling it, it looks like i need a letter from the police and the 16k is the max fine that can be issued: https://www.companythailand.net/penalty-rate-for-delayed-submission-of-financial-statement/ Has anybody done this with a dormant company - did you have to pay the full 16k? Many thanks in advance.
