I want to do the online application for my wife and have only ever done them on paper before, after completing the paper one there was s section to state that you were applying on behalf of the applicant and in which language you communicated.
When signing up for an account do I need to sign up using her name and email etc. Or can I open the account in my name doing it on her behalf? To be clear she doesn't speak English so I will be completing the application for her.
Cheers.

Cheers for the recommendations. I've seen someone now, found out it was an ac joint problem and had some treatment and it's feeling better already. Fingers crossed anyway.
Thanks again.

To be honest the venue was crap. But I'm sure there was something to suit every taste.

Wife thought I was crazy when I spent a load of money on a honda generator. She soon came round to the idea though. Best money I ever spent here.

I used Express Translation Service, I emailed the documents to them and picked them up on my way to the embassy, their office is right by the skytrain station.
As with all services though, give yourself enough time to check they got everything right.

That's pretty much it. We went in at eleven am and they gave us a number and said be back at 2pm. We arrived an hour early but our number was called at 2 minutes past 2. We were done in 15 minutes. Thanks for that delivery update TR. When you said 'in and out in an hour' that would be for the date in the appointment. How did the initial appointment making go? Early rise and wait in line?
I guess it's go early and queue to make appointment.
Go to appointment and expect to 'queue' a couple of hours waiting for the actual 15-20 minute processing.
Then wait for the passport to turn up the following week.

Can anyone recommend a tattoo artist in Pattaya / jomtien that is open during the day. I only need simple work doing but want someone pretty artistic.
Cheers

I appreciate the advice but I'd rather someone more local in case it requires ongoing treatment.I strongly advise a trip to Bangkok.
Dr. Mason at Bumrungrad.

As a side note the passport just arrived. 6 days, not bad at all.In and out in an hour today. Very good service.
Much better than I expected to be honest.

I have a shoulder injury that's been bothering me for a while and I now have time to get it checked.
Any recommendations in the Pattaya area would be appreciated.
My usual hospital is BHP but open to options I.e. specialist clinics etc.
Cheers.

I was watching a group of older kids/teenagers walk and run around these a few days ago. My first thought was that they end up so far from the beach I could never get to one in time if they got into trouble.
The real crime here is people being unable to swim, if you can't swim you need to wear flotation. A lifeguard on each swimming area would also be nice.

No problem. Best of luck.

yes sure. If you were wearing jeans and a white shirt I saw you at the counter as I only saw 2 western people there at that time. That is very strange!
We are talking about the office at the Avenue??

No idea what happened there. Turned up yesterday at 1100 to see if we could book an appointment, they said don't bother and gave us a queue number and told us to come back before 1400.
Arrived early at 1300 and were seen just after 1400, the process itself took just 15 minutes.
It's a shame if they do close it as it was so convenient.

Having served a full military career voluntarily I can only imagine the hell of being drafted against your wishes.
Drafting is a backward way or providing a military force and that is always reflected in their skills. Back in the 80s I came across foreign conscripts who were poorly trained and poorly motivated.
If my kid wanted to join a professional military service I would agree wholeheartedly but I know something of the Thai military and there is no <deleted> way my child would be joining that comedy show, it is neither professional nor safe.
Accidents and death are an expected part of military service but at least most are taught the skills to be given a fighting chance, not so here, cannon fodder springs to mind.
It speaks volumes that cadet training at school exempts you from the lottery. In most countries kids do the cadet training because they have an interest in a military career.
Not cowardice to want to stop your kid being drafted.
