In order to stay somewhat sane....I like to do an early morning walk around the town....the only problem is that with most hotels and the like closed, there are no bathrooms available, so when the poop attack happens, it is a mad dash  to try and get back to my room before I fill my pants....sometimes I try to use the local hospital for a relief spot, but they will not let me in! Will soon be using the local streets and Sois as my bathroom.....not fun and just another part of the Covid-19 drama.....????????????????????????????

One of the things that is amusing to me is that most farangs with only the Thai wife at home tend to want to yak my ears off when they get out of the house.....cannot stand to be alone....poor buggers....????????

I went to Chantaburi a couple of weeks ago. We got a minibus from the road that runs along the side of Numchai electronics store on Sukhumvit Road. It is not too far from the top of Pattaya Klang, near Soi 49: go over the pedestrian bridge and then left along Sukhumvit Road past Numchai then immediately right. The ticket office and bus stop is nearly opposite Tesco Extra. We got a motorcycle taxi there from Naklua for 100 Baht.

The minibus is well driven and all passengers must wear their seatbelt, fare is 200 Baht pp, no need for advance booking during the week. Busses run hourly and take nearly 3 hours. Last bus leaves at 6pm. At the bus station in Chantaburi a tuktuk will take you to your hotel for 100 Baht.

Plenty of places by the river in the old town to eat, drink and be merry. Beer is cheap. Lots of coffee and cake places during the day, lots of temples and a Catholic church too.

We went midweek so it was quiet, but pleasant; weekends are busier.
