K.2? Yeah - that's proves you're marriage is still on the books.
K.22 That's your freaking original marriage certificate. It's stupid to ask for a new one.
<snipped>Kor Ror 2 and Kor Ror 22 both show your current marriage status, K.R. 2 is for Thai marriages while K.R. 22 is for marriages performed abroad and subsequently registered in Thailand.
The original, flowery marriage certificate is Kor Ror 3.

Read the posts above...I was actually replying to this post.
"I think this is the only way unless one wishes to revert to getting a regular extension, but it's a very expensive option"
To do ongoing annual extensions based on marriage the funds only need to be in bank for 2 months and can then be used (some offices also require under consideration period)
If thats too difficult and he is over 50 he can opt for non O retirement with ongoing extensions using agent.
BTW: He can only obtain ONE 60 day extension per single entry non O based on marriage.
I did read the posts, and unlike you I actually understood what was being said.

He stated 400k for ongoing extensions based on ma was expensive.
Hardly expensive compared to other options.
No he didn't, he stated that the alternative of living here doing single Non-O visas with 60 day extensions was expensive.

If you have a stamp that expires on a day the immigration office is closed (weekend or holiday) AND you go the very next business day they're open you can get your extension like normal, not be fined for overstay. You WILL get an overstay stamp in your passport but it will say (overstay xxx days fine waived due to holiday)
I don't believe this to be true. I have never heard of anyone getting an overstay stamp when going to Immigration the first day after the holiday/weekend during which their permission to stay expired.

How did you end up considering getting an Akita, it's not really suited for the hot climate here and have many of the same traits as the Bang Kaew, which you discounted (i.e. aggressive/protective towards strangers and other dogs).

A few years ago I received the certificate of tax residency in Thailand every year from the Revenue Department office in Chiang Mai. Like you, I needed the certificate to reclaim tax on dividends in my home country. In Chiang Mai it was an absolute requirement that I had filed a PND90 or PND91 in Thailand for the tax year in question, had I not they would not have issued the certificate. Just having been in Thailand for more than 180 days was not enough.

With a Schengen visa for a long time you don't need a work permit... Workpermits are only given for people who do jobs Thais can't do here in Thailand and as Thai can do everything it is very difficult to get a work permit and have to wait at least 2 months. Outdated laws indeed.. Thailand keeps everything teh same and doesn't renew at all
A Schengen visa does not allow you to work.

The general rule is 30 days before expiry of your current permission to stay, but there are some (mainly larger) immigration offices that allow 45 days before. If you tell us which immigration office you use, someone can confirm/deny whether you can apply 45 days before.

Answer from @Georgealbert explains why Bangkok Bank comes up often in threads re extensions.
Be aware that funds must have been in Bank for 2 months at time of application and you must have 15+ days remaining on your permit stamp. (21 CM)
The 15+ days is when applying for a Non O visa at immigration, for an extension there is no such requirement.

The fact that you have to use an app to stop it leads me to think otherwise!
There is no 'debit card management ' on my online banking software on my laptop.
The fact that the app allows it to happen.....?
What is the default on the app.
I am sure. These kind of fraudulent transactions is nothing new, as a matter of fact I was one of the victims of an earlier wave of small (around 30 Baht) fraudulent debit card transactions.
It's not the app that allows or disallows online debit card transactions, it's the settings on your card in the bank's central system that does that. The app is just one way that you can change those settings, another option is to go to your branch and ask them to do it. Using the app is just quicker and more convenient.

I have easy access to banks and am retired so I can afford to bank in person and not risk my funds being drained by a mobile app. My prediction is that 'the mobile app had a glitch' will become a much more commonly used excuse for missing funds.
This has nothing to do with the mobile app, the transactions are debit card transactions hence the banks advice to disable online purchases via debit card management:
QuoteCustomers can also choose to enable or disable online usage functions through the ttb touch app by going to Settings >> Debit Card Management >> Set Spending Limits and Card Usage >> Authorization >> Select Disable Online Purchase Authorization.
If the customers didn't have the mobile banking app, it would probably take them a lot longer to notice the fraudulent transactions.

It was always 2 months prior (but several offices required 3 months - and for marriage it was suggested to keep in account during review process making it 3 months) - there was no requirement for money in account after extension was issued.
That is not correct, it used to be 3 months before.
From police order 606-2549:
It was then changed to 60 days before for first extension and 3 months for subsequent extensions.
