An ED visa where I can leave thailand for a few days, at any time, would be a big help

Maybe because I am over 50 they wonder why I dont have a retirement visa

So is the red stamp only applicable to vientiane consulate?

Next time I should take a bankbook showing transfers from overseas?

You dont think I need to leave thailand for a long period?

An Education visa sounds like a good idea. Any recommendations?

WEnt to the Vientiane Thai Consulate on 17October.

I applied for a double entry tourist visa, and was told at the first window that I can only get a single entry visa.

Yhey asked if I had a bank book on me, which I did not.

The guy in front had the same problem, though he spends 6months every year working in europe.

So I come back next day to pickup the passport,

There is a red stamp on the Visa pagewhich says "travels to thailand on tourit visa many times and may get refused in the future"

Also given a printout saying- As so many people come to thailand on tourist visa and look for work illegally, so thai embassy may ask for supporting documents,financial status, travel plans etc

So what does the red stamp mean to me? do i have to stay out of thailand for 6 months, or show a lot of money in my bank book, or just avoid vientiane for a year?

Does anyone know where I can try to obtain a permit to take my thai registered motorcycle into myanmar?

I emailed MTT already but they did not reply

I would enter and leave at Mae Sot andspend a few days riding to Moulmein and back, on my own, or maybe with a friend or two and their bikes.

I do not want an organised tour or guide if it can be avoided

And then you get DHL trying to demand more money off you (taxes,import duty, extra fees) if/when they eventually deliver it

Lost my 5year m/c licence so went to get a new one

Took 4 visits total, because

I am on a tourist visa now, and since it is over a year since I got my 5year licence, I can only get a 1year licence.

And for this I needed a Certificate of Residence (which is now free (or up to you!)) and a doctors certificate,and passport copies

So does that mean that a 5year car licence would no longer be legal?

The info I got on this site implied that I should get a police report to take to the licence office, but in my case it made no difference

I'm in Chiang Mai but...So can you make this a sticky in the motor section or elsewhere people can find it?

There is a flake of black paint, about 1sq cm,missing on the top of the visor, (can see in photo)cos I dropped it while trying it on in the shop.

My double entry tourist visa (from vientiane) , date of issue 9 august, is stamped enter before 8 November.

I got an extension at Immigration office until 8 nov.

Does this mean that I have to leave thailand and return by 8 November in order to use the 2nd entry visa?

Or that I can stay in thailand until 8 november, and can return to thailand anytime and still use the 2nd entry visa?
