  1. Under the theme "Live & Learn in Wonderful Thailand", the country will be portrayed as a great international education country

umpfff - we have a daughter presently studying in one of the "BKK universities" and I am now not going to be mad again over their

school system (nothing to do with varsity environment), the "Thainess" of corruption in that joint, the quality of lecturers (local

    and foreign alike) etc.

  2. 80k/month near Khorat: 4 people (incl. varsity student and 15yr- old), own land, own house, 2 cars; cost positions very similar to many of the above-mentioned. I join others of this thread "Th. is no cheap country at all" still very much worth-while living here and AUD 0.90 for diesel should not be the only high-light of our stay!

your "own business" in Th. would surely be something which you would not include in your financial master plan...! Too many odds re: success / failure and a big visible pot for "start-up and running cost" but invisible leaks of the meager monthly profit

  3. "Mrs Mouritsen told the Gazette she was stunned that the policy, issued by a major travel insurance company and sold through the travel agent, did not cover injuries sustained in motorbike accidents – especially for people specifically travelling to Thailand"

that is exactly why they do not cover this particular area: "Especially for people specifically travelling to Thailand" !!

  4. British my arse, and i stick by that even if he/she does have a British Passport..

at bygone times in history, the EMPIRE just could not get enough additional fresh

blood from around the world from all her cozy colonies and they were proud to make

them proud with the Pommie passports. Look at all these distinct- looking Brits in Leeds,

    Liverpool, Warrington, Abingdon etc.
