  1. Bullhockey headline about "new lover". There's nothing in the original story to indicate they were anything more than acquaintances having a drink together.

In Thailand, there's only one reason for a woman to enter a man's room, just the two of you.

My Thai neighbors warned me of that, just after I arrived here.

They actually went into more detail ............. translated from polite Thai,

"Can we go somewhere more private" = I'm married so we'll have to use a short-time hotel.

"I can give you a lift home on my m/c" = I'm broke and married, so it's up against a tree in the jungle.

"Would you like to have a drink at my place" = I'm single so we can use my bed, I'll pay for the booze.

    What a load of sh1t...

  2. Is the former Minister out on bail or is he being detained... there never was a follow up to this story http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/928100-former-deputy-commerce-minister-banyin-tangphakorn-arrested-for-murder/

Given his wealth, I'm sure he will be out on bail...TIT.. If you've got bags of money, the laws of the land doesn't apply..whistling.gif

You miss the fact that the deceased family have a shit load more money than him to make sure he pays...

  3. So several different agencies and personal are all idiots, not just one. Well done Govt.

    They sure are:

"Bolton's device, the GT200, was also backed by British embassies in Mexico City and Manila, through the then Department of Trade and Industry".

"In fact, earlier this year, the device surfaced in Egypt with claims from the Egyptian military that it could detect hepatitis and HIV.

And the bogus detectors are still in use at checkpoints across Baghdad. They were also deployed at a recent security conference in Djibouti and, just this week, the BBC filmed them in use at a shopping mall in Pakistan".

    Well done British Govt.

I wonder if Tony Blair got his cut OK...

    W

Buyer beware... but I can't blame Mr Blare, I made a shit load of cash when he was in power, thats why I'm retired now, just guessing you didn't do so well :)

  4. The ardware has nothing to do with the windows license, you are free to replace which ever part you want.

Once you replace the OS as you are not longer using Windows but Linux which is free and open source you have no ties to worry about.

Not quite true about replacing and or upgrading parts it depends on the version of windows and if its an OEM version.

  5. If it takes a court order I am all ok with it. Different story if no court order is needed.

Right now the courts might be unlikely to refuse an order but in a year they military will be gone and it will be abused by politicians.

Wanna bet that whoever is in power next won't turn this back but will use it as a tool against its enemies.

I doubt your 2nd sentence will come true but I certainly agree with the court order idea as right now sites are being blocked at someone else's whim.

Censor department introduced d in Thaksin's time.

Do you honestly believe that a censor department would not have been created under the present regime if not for Thaksin?

  6. A two second Google in the news backroom would have shown a zillion photos of the guy...rolleyes.gif

As for the "funny" comment, if it were YOUR dead famous father would it still be funny..?

He was just a brain damaged boxer few had heard of in Thailand, not a world leader or great scientist. At least Ali had a sense of humor, when he could still laugh.

But he's 100 times more famous than anything or anyone that has ever or will ever come out of Thailand...

  7. What's with the photo opportunity? It not as if they investigated and tracked the guy down. The were asked to pop around and collect the guy not take credit and pose before the media.

Yes. Let's make derogatory remarks against the Thai police for accomplishing something that the Dutch and Swiss police did not.
A moving object is more difficult to grab as a stationary one.

He is a Dutch national, the murder took place in Switzerland, obviously a case for the Swiss police.

As Switzerland is a member of the Schengen thing, there is no real border control, so easy to disappear.

Thailand has all kinds of registrations and restrictions on "aliens", in theory finding an "alien" should be quite easy.

Even so, that does not always goes, does it.

Hence the not too favourable comment.

Why the blurring of the face?

Well, in most countries you are innocent until proven guilty by a court.

Even the use of his full name is a no-no.

Even if he confessed he did it, it still needs proof.

I guess the authorities did not get it completely.

Interpol release names and photos if they have one of all wanted persons.
