  1. I need the receiver hitch installed on the vehicle, which ends with the square tube. You can then slide the ball in on a square tube, or in this case a lightweight aluminium carrier fitted with a tube that inserts into the receiver. Most of the cycling stuff is for more lightweight applications, and for this type car would have a couple of strap hooked ends to put on the trunk lid before closing.
  2. I need to get a receiver trailer hitch installed on my MG 5. Purpose will be to then install an electric wheelchair carrier into it. Any suggestions on where to get one fitted in Pattaya?
  3. Looks to me like a motorway service plaza. Important indicator is it appears to be inside the fence line.
  4. Better off going from Korat to Nang Rong. A couple of decent hotels there and easy to access Phanom Rung from there. IMO, Prakhonchai is further down 24 than you need to go.
  5. This came up a few years ago during the motorway construction. Scales getting on the motorway to BKK from Chonburi had the exact same thing going on.
  6. When I tried to order online, Chonburi was not a valid province to register with. Hence needing to buy in Bangkok, where they did not care. Produce passport and the required cash and walk out a few minutes later with the device.
  7. In a civilized society, a call to the rental shop owner and the insurance would be around to sort things out. That is why you pay the deposit after all. Unfortunately this is not a civilized society and so the tuk-tuk owner will feel free to demand the first exorbitant amount that comes to mind, and back it up with the threat of violence by the crowd of AN posters, I mean Thai thugs waiting for a sign for the beatings to commence. Anyone who believes a civilized negotiation was possible in this scenario has never been to Thailand before. And, of course, the police will all be snuggled away in bed despite the frequency of such events.
  8. Quite surprised one of the Thai bystanders did not pull a gun or 2 and start popping caps.
  9. Incorrect. Easy pass is the original BKK expressway option, and is readily available at the small office just after the toll booth on any BKK tollway. M-Pass on the other hand is not available for purchase anymore. It appears that the folks operating the M-Pass tollway (they are not the same) intends to move toward the M-Flow where it reads your car and plate and uses AI to confirm who you are and eithers charges your M-Flow account or let's you pay after on their website. I went thru this recently and ended up getting an Easy Pass at the booths behind the 25 baht toll after getting on Rama 9 coming from SUK headed to Pattaya. Paid 300 baht which I think gave 200 baht credit, so nowhere near 1000 baht for the reader. Was activated in 90 minutes I think. Download the EXAT app and you can top up thru there.
  10. My guess is the 78 million is largely the result of her takings from the Ponzi scheme, and the 11-12 are either online gambling website operators or loan sharks facilitating finance for the same. No doubt a few will be wearing brown. I doubt any are involved in the murders themselves, or knew, but instead are involved in ancillary financial crimes.
  11. Now they are installing a permanent barrier down the center, so no turn into the market or condos there. Result is massive numbers of vehicles u-turning at the first open spot which just makes traffic worse.
  12. Given the number of victims, now possibly as high as 13, and the length of time she has been at it, she pretty much did get away with it. Pure bad luck on the last one led to her demise.
  13. Split the 52 mil over 10 people and 12 years, and it wasn't all that much.
  14. Lot more to this scheme. Polar Air Cargo, a partially owned subsidiary of DHL, is being sued for millions by costumers and brokers in NY as a result of the scam. These guys basically charged bribes for brokers to be able to ship their cargo to mainly Asia. Otherwise there was simply no allocation. The likelihood is that Polar, and by extension DHL and the majority owner Atlas Air are gonna be on the hook for failure to conduct financial oversight and allowing this to happen.
