  1. two things :

tuk tuks run on lpg but have two stroke engines and burn oil especially when they get older

so they need to overhaul their engines like diesel trucks to stop that from happening.i have a twenty year old isuzu with countless miles on it but very little if any black smoke just when starting.the engine was overhauled and fitted with new pistonrings etc.not an expert on that but it is done all the time especially with bigger engines .it costs money though.

  2. ........the chubby girl does not give the better massage by the way. that's why she is chubby.

...or the older girl, that's why she is still there.....

i had an oil massage at ying yang not too long ago and the girl offered me a shower afterwards .she stepped inside the shower and lathered me down and rinsed me off.nice touch. although i felt like a baby.

The point wasnt so much about the 'bigger' girl giving a better massage, but giving a stronger massage, usually. Although small girls can be strong, usually the bigger girls can give more pressure, for those who like a stronger massage. .......

I dont get what you mean about the older girl comment to be honest though. :)

Lastly, is it not unusual for a regular massage girl to lather down and rinse off the client here? I did once have that experience when I had a mineral mud treatment in Budapest (but just rinsing/hosing. I washed myself), just didnt think it was a common thing to happen here............................................................................

    ................

yes it is not common.the shower thing.

quite a number of m-girls i had were taken out before they got old and not returned. they are now married.

i am american ,big is fat ,tall is tall , small is short and skinny.sorry,i don't like to generalize but i did not have good massages from fat girls while i had very good ones from older ones.but not always.

  3. firebricks are used for very high temperature applications like pottery or in fireplaces in a wooden building for safety reasons

regular brick in a little pizza oven out side should be fine .i would keep them dry though before heating.the same goes for the fire brick which are very brittle by the way and need support structure.i think it is even possible to make an oven just from clay.

there is also a big new store on highway 11 to lamphun, after nong hoi, across 89 ,that sells pizza ovens and baking materials galore

sorry need to correct it is the old road 106 to lampun i was talking about

  4. i would like to have a little note in thai that says : your vehicle really stinks-please have it fixed

and while it is "un-thai behaviour" i am sure it works if we hand it to them when we can.especially the pros like tuk tuks, song teaws and so on that make a living driving all the time.i have adopted the habit of holding my breath when i see the black cloud coming my way....

but it is no laughing matter - the air here will kill us

  5. i get lots of massages and know some of the owners/practioners and talk to them.

it is obviously important to attract both men and women.keep that in mind.i had a friend with a shop that had nice music was clean and quiet,a shower and tea afterwards and so on.i recommended to her to open up the shop window so you could look inside better and light it up and she got more women customers from that.there is a few newer places on loi kroh like that and they stay busy even now. the ac however i find to cold in many places especially when getting an oil massage .they work hard and are dressed and i am naked and and lie there and shiver....

make sure the girls are really trained for thai massage, even if they give oil massage.

many people come back if it's worth it.and they tip.

  7. chiang mai plastic is at wororot mkt - kad luang.if you come from night bazaar it is on the left

many people know it and can point it out to you when you're there

as usual : if you really need it - wororot has it

  8. My personal favourite has got to be Loei - on the Mae Rim Road, a couple of blocks after the prison if heading into the city. Very much a simple roadside joint, but superb home-made sai krok, and excellent som tam amongst others. Gen Chai 2 on the Canal Road is pretty good too.

i really like isaan food too and find bits and pieces here and there like at oasis soi 2 tha phae

or kampangdinrd near loi kroh but

the canal road is a bit long and wide too to really serve as an address......

  9. Yeah, at those prices it better be VERY romantic. I'd had "romantic" massages that cost a lot less. :)

me too,and i didn't even take the wife along.....

but i did take her to hotsprings in san kampaeng where we paid not much for an hour or two (less than 500) in a big jacuzzi all by ourselves

  10. sorry to bother y'all

i have some family members with a newborn in the house and remember that bottle warmer that brings it up to the right temperature from when i had kids myself.very useful with formula, any body have an idea where to get one ? much obliged--uptymf-

  11. I took NakhornChai VIP bus from Pattaya to CM last month. It was the nicest bus I have been on in Thailand. About 12 hours as I recall and 700-800 baht(as I recall). Had uniformed attendant, served a couple snacks and reasonably comfortable reclining seats. Did not stop more than 2-3 times.

would you by chance remember what time it left pattya and from where? obliged--u--

  12. good idea....

((((There is a local company... in CM near Central Kadsuan Kaew.... www.onlyfloorplans.com .... they do basic floor plan and 650 THB per plan. Then the 3D modeling at about 1,000 THB per 3D image. The great thing is that you can visit the office and work with them in person and make sure you dont go through many edits and a waste of time :-) Talk to DANIEL ... you can email them at [email protected]. British owned... all employess are in Chiang Mai... about 20 of them.....))))

but going through edits is not a waste of time .changes are cheapest on paper as everybody knows.

i would recommend a local office drawing things up too since thais will have to read and understand the plans.

i don't know this company but have been in the trade for over 30 years in the us and recommend the same thing there to all my clients.

just now i finished building my own house after my own design here and my builder came up with the blueprints after i gave him my design.those drawings went then to the local office for the permit etc....

  13. i might be interested for my new place in serapi-ban nampuen

not much to do just the usual and then my wife has a little business (textiles handmade) that might fill the time-and hopefully some caretaking when we travel, like watering the dogs and feeding the plants etc, very low key-let me know what the darling expects .live in .nice new place .thanks-utymf-

  14. THEY SELL THEM AT WOROROT MARKETFOR 25BT JUST LIKE ANYTHING ELSE.THEY ARE ALL STEEL AND GREY AND I USE WHOLE PEANUTS FOR BAIT AND TRY NOT TO HAVE ANY SMELL OF MYSELF OR THE PREVIOUS VICTIM ON THE DEVICE AND HAD ONCE TWO RATS AT ONCE ON ONE PEANUT

AND YES THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE COMPUTER IT IS ALL IN CAPITAL'S - SORRY

  15. it is definitely worth the extra money re sales better and you can and will hopefully turn the thing off at the red light and save gas .so much easier to restart right in second gear and zoom off.also if you have big feet you hit the passenger footrest a lot when using the kickstart i bought mine on mahidol rd and negotiated a substantial discount for cash payment,i think i paid 40 k .....

  16. you buy the milk across from the Zoo - 5 kg for 120 bt.

you boil it in a big pot.several minutes.

let it cool to about body temperature.

add two soup spoons of plain yoghurt.

    stir.

leave it out for about 4 -5 hrs depending on room temperature and how sour you like your yoghurt.

    refrigerate.

    eat.

  17. an obvious choice would be Buddhism.i am sure with a little research you'll find a course a lot cheaper than the let's say text and talk option for tefl or tesl ,which i did and stupidly paid a thousand $ us for while others showed up at the course right at the beginning,a little undecided, and negotiated the price down,it's thailand after all,to 2/3 of that, plus the visa of course.which you get at a later date.in any case to get the one year visa you have to be out of the country somewhere as far as i know....
