"Why so many Asian Click-Bait Bikini Girls on my YT Feed?'

It's because you keep clicking on them!

My feed is full of Capybara, Marmot and rabbit videos for the same reason.

Although I prefer Asian bikini girls, despite my reporting to Google Ads, I keep getting this farang woman appearing in my ArseanNow feed. Myself and my passport-bro's have no inclination to ogle such farang women.

Nothing to do with Singapore or Thailand. Banking rules are the same all over the world.

So, Bank of China.... Thai bank?

and Krungsri / Bank of Ayudhya....Japanese bank?

and it's designated as one of the 5 systemically important banks (SIB) by the Bank of Thailand....Bank of Thailand would only apply this to Thai banks, e.g., Krungsri which is a Thailand bank although their largest shareholder is a Japanese bank. They are not regarded as a Japanese bank...similarly UOB (which evolved from Radanasin Bank more than 20 years ago) is a Thai bank with a large Singaporean shareholder.

Urgent Call for O-Negative Blood Donations in Phuket:

.....and recent updates now allow donors from the UK, France, and Ireland to contribute.

Although being over the age of 60 and attempting to donate blood for the first time in Thailand or having resided in Thailand for less than six months (which rules out most tourists) continue to be incuded in the donation criteria.

VT8 is on the moon. No-one even truly knows where it is and no-one cares.

I guess the same applies to View Talay Sands in Na Jomtien. Obviously a quiet location but it's a low rise beachfront with duplex 2Br condo units, so maybe it's not the same developer as the other VT's.

  5. I had been anticipating this given the Thai gov't announcements a few months ago regarding doing away with the 1,500 baht vat free threshold on imports.

I placed an order with iHerb on 17 Jul (after notification of the change in arrangments by iHerb) and received delivery on 25 July by Flash Express (with no additional taxes to collect).

The invoice included an all-in amount for duties/vat of 15% that I had prepaid. I usually purchase when iHerb has a promo/discount which I guess offsets the the duties/taxes to some extent.

In the past I have usually ticked the box for delivery by Flash Express (with free delivery) instead of US/Thai Post, and this is now the only option available, which means the max. number of items per order is limited to 3.

  6. I was regularly drinking a bottle of gin per week for the last several years until a couple of months ago, when my annual medical check-up showed a big spike in my liver enzymes. So I stopped, and have switched to having an occasional San Mig Zero in the meantime.

My friend renewed his DL with Yellow book and Pink card (not sure which office)

On the back it states that he is restricted to leave the province without permission from the authority (near the address area)

Indeed, and for that reason I was advised when I renewed my 5 yr DL at DLT Bangchak 2 years ago, to use the Yellow Tabien Baan only and not the pink ID card.

Local importers already pay taxes on what they import and sell on for profit, they affect the local producers as competition.

This tax only affects private individuals buying singular cheap items from the likes of Lazada or Shopee

an item under the 1,500 baht mark.

It will likely also affect other items such as personal iHerb health supplements for which import duty is already paid (if >THB1,500 orders), in that apart from the import duty, an extra 7% VAT will now be required to be paid.

Any ideas of where and how I could take such a test in English by a qualified person please?  I would happily volunteer if a researcher needed me for a study or any other way that I could be tested that would not be prohibitively costly.

I was identified as having a spectrum disorder in my late 50's and then looked into obtaining a more thorough diagnosis at the well-regarded Manorom Hospital in Bangkok:

    https://www.manarom.com/adult_eng.html

Although it was quite a revelation, I decided not to go through with the full diagnosis as there was little to be gained (in Thailand) by having the diagnosis verified at my age being post-career and semi-retired, and I had managed to stumble through school and university and an international career with a large MNC through masking techniques rather than prescription drugs. Accepting and understanding my trigger points including avoiding certain places and people allows me to get by. Knowing of the diagnosis has brought a lot of sense and understanding as to why certain things seemed to happen to me (and not to most others) which in itself was quite an epiphany and helpful in moving forward with a more positive attitude.

looking for a new hotel with great swimmingpool, good fitness center, and relative good location close to restaurants. Useally we stay Sukhumvit close to Terminal 21

up to 6000 a night included breakfest

Grande Centrepoint at T21 seems to tick all your boxes although it's not new, about 12 years old. I've previously used the gym and pool there which was well equipped.

  11. In my car I always keep the air vents closed in the hope that less outside air will permeate into the cabin, and on days of high PM2.5 I connect an Electrolux personal air purifier to the USB socket in the car. Although I don't have a portable air quality measuring device to check, it does provide a degree of peace of mind, and as @CharlieHwrote above - it's a case of something is better than nothing.

Any suggestions for a dermatologist in Bangkok?

Dr Netrnapa Youngrod. She works Friday/Sunday at Bangkok Hospital in Bangkok. I saw her last month for a skin cancer check and eczema. Thorough and the best dermatologist I've seen in over 30 years. I had previously gone to Samitivej in Sukhumvit Soi 49 for a skin check and was quite disappointed by the nonchalant attitude of the dermatologist there.
