  1. He obviously should have known if the vehicle was overweight then controllability would be an issue,,oh i almost forgot this is Thailand.

Oh, you almost forgot to mention also that the only complaints of an overloaded truck was from ThaiVisa posters speculating and bashing as usual. Heavily laden does not necessarily mean overloaded

the driver himself said the vehicle was heavily laden therefore this will affect controllability of the vehicle, believe me,ive been doing heavy haulage, abnormal loads, etc for 24 years now.
  2. If it wasnt for the farangs,i reckon there would be no-one in issan, they would all be begging on the streets of bangkok

Yeah, right. Without the superior yet ever suffering martyred farang, the natives would still be living in caves. Oh, dear St. Farang do get off the cross, the natives need the firewood to cook and keep warm.
yeah your right, some of them really do need the farangs so called firewood.
  3. Hello all. Just wanna get your thoughts on my situation. My wife put her UK wife/settlement visa application into the UK VAC in BKK on the 5th Jan 09. (i was over there with her)

We married at Christmas time and have all the correct docs courtesy of Bangrak office in BKK.

She was over here on a Visitor/tourist visa last year Feb - Aug for 6 months. We hired a Visa consultant in London to oversee the settlement application and supporting docs and basically have 6 months or more bank statements, mortgage statements, wage slips, proof of relationship (3 years), letter from my employer regarding my salary and contract blah blah etc etc!!

I think we have covered everything regarding the application (especially as we had it all overlooked).... my concern is we still have not heard anything as yet. I am back in the UK for work commitments and my other half has had to go back to Udon Thani as we could not wait around any longer in Bkk.

She phoned the number on the receipt today but as we expected, regent house has no idea about the status of the application.............just that it has not come back for pick up!!!

So my concern is it has been 12 working days now.....any reason to panic yet? Has anyone had the same experience?
