  1. More runways, OK but not all airlines have resumed flights to Thailand and if they have they are often fewer of them, fewer seats, higher prices. Not easy to get all the proposed capacity being used if the flights don't happen
  2. Yes noticed an increase in booze costs not a decrease, did the tax reduction flounder or is it just the mega monopolies are just taking more and even more profit?
  3. So we can look forward to no burning pollution this year then...
  4. May depend where you are. For me living in Chiang Mai, Suzuki seemingly pulling out of the whole province is an appalling reflection on a company that makes rather good bikes so if you intend to be up here, cant recommend Suzuki
  5. Is this apart of "The ASEAN Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution" you know the one that was signed close to 20 years ago to tackle the problem?
  6. Travel to Chiang Mai, whilst every now and then I like the train it is very slow and as a norm most of the journey is at night, so you don't really get to see some of Thailand's wonderful land and city scape. I read the buffet car / food service has been reopened but how good it is post covid I don't know. Booze is still prohibited so it is not for sale. Yes, we currently have quite a bit of pollution, not as bad as in previous years so I am not finding it prohibitive. Apart from that it is a wonderful time of year, still cool in the morning but not for long, mid 30's in the afternoon. quite a lot of life now, things to see and do. If it was me, I would fly.
  7. Can anyone help with how do they stand up to the rain / winds we can get and how much cleaning from dust / dirt etc?
  8. agree, all veg is very expensive so if the farmers aren't getting the dosh it needs looking into
  9. Health care medical clinic https://g.page/HCMCdrmorgan?share
  10. My no 1 gp is dr morgan at hcmc, busy but very good great english. I do most other stuff at Bangkok, again no language problems at all top class personnel and facilities. Had surgery twice at Sirphat, follow up at Ram, all good. Derm at Ram. These all top notch in my opinion, tend to prioritise on dr morgans recommendation.
  11. what are they as a % of income, possibly a better measure
  12. Not so; I think whilst the current reasonable measures are in place TAT will be able to assure the government and us that tourism has returned to normal with only a 1% drop on previous record highs and that is because of a minor drop off in booking from Russia...
  13. app for both android and apple plus I think can do via web
  14. I am hearing stories of lost numbers and problems from some friends who are applying in the UK
  15. Endemic? Isn't that the same as Pandemic but restricted to a locality? Are they saying Covid is endemic in Thailand even when other nations no longer have a significant problem?
  16. got to get some revenue somewhere...
  17. Maybe Marriot will be able to include that as a new string to their services?
  18. At least they have announced SOMETHING. Chiang Mai has announced nothing ????
  19. Will it be the only one or will the other closed parks in Chiang Mai open as well, Chiang Mai is simply not open for business when you can't enjoy these beautiful areas.
