  1. Has anybody taken the Pink Line to Immigration at the Government Complex? I've taken it a couple of times past there and there appears to be a walkway from the station. But from the station to building B would be a good trek. I also read that there would be shuttle busses. Any first hand knowledge?
  2. I knew a couple of guys working on the Seacrest. I was living in Songkhla at the time and it was bad. Of course, the majority of the guys on the ship were Thai and it was very sad to see the families gathering in the Amarit yard everyday hoping to hear some news of their loved ones.
  3. The input to the amplifier would be RCA plugs. Thanks freeworld and impulse for your suggestions. Exactly what I was looking for.
  4. I’m looking for a Bluetooth receiver so I can play iTunes through my old Marantz stereo system. I’ve done a little research and the price range for these units is quite broad. Any recommendations? I live in Bangkok and would prefer to buy locally rather than order from abroad.
  5. Thanks for that TJ. I'll watch the Super Bowl live but this would be a good link to have next year. During the regular season can you watch the replay of any game?
  6. This site might be useful https://www.jogandjoy.com/index.php
  7. This season seems totally unpredictable. Are the Eagles really that good? I just watched the Bengals - one of last year's super bowl teams -- get demolished by the Browns. The Packers/Rodgers are going nowhere. Bucs/Brady? Looks like he should have not 'unretired'. The Rams? The Chiefs? No single team seems to have the inside track. Guess I would pick the Bills to win it all at this point, but things can change quickly.
  8. Saw some of it on TV last night. Amazing how calm she was under pressure. Congratulations!
  9. If it’s live music you’re looking for many places are open now in Bangkok, including Saxophone, Speaker Box, Green Room and others.
  10. Originally due to close in late December 2021. But there was a lot of pushback from the public about closing the Hua Lampong station. The government has been quiet about it since then. I have not seen or read anything about when they intend to shut down Hua Lampong for good.
  11. Sorry, should have read your post more carefully as you did mention Central World. I was thinking of the rink at Central Rama 9 where they played hockey. That's where Johnny Oduya played when he was training during the NHL off-season a few years ago (as referenced by the OP). They had a full size hockey rink there; the one at Central World is a bit small for hockey, but a good place for kids to learn to skate, for sure.
  12. Not something you have to worry about anymore as that rink has been closed since the beginning of the pandemic and it appears now to be permanent. Hockey has apparently moved out to MegaBagna. https://www.bangkokicehockey.com/
  13. Trains out of Hua Lampong can be boarded at Bang Sue but be careful! It's the old, original station -- called Bang Sue Junction -- not the new Grand Central. They are several hundred meters apart. If not familiar with the area I suggest the OP board at Hua Lampong. The plan is for all interprovincial trains to leave from Bang Sue Grand Central in the future.
  14. Great that BTS is doing all this expansion. Bangkok needs it. But I'd like to see them take a small part of that budget and build the station at Sena Ruam (N6). It's been on the maps since 1999 and is still there as a 'future station'. It's a long way from Ari to Saphan Kwai and with all the new condos and office towers in the area no doubt it would get a lot of traffic, certainly more than Sanam Pao, which must have the least traffic of any station on the original line. Really at this point I think they should either just build the station or officially eliminate it, change Saphan Kwai to N6 and count up northward from there.
