Give me a break newbie, I have lived here right at 35 years. Also look in the mirror when it comes to trolling.

Mine is not and never has been. Two houses over 30 years and have never encountered what you are talking about. In fact have not even noticed that in hotels I have stayed in. Now patterned tiles on house car parks are a different story, have run across those occasionally on a rainy day.

I have no idea why you want to open a new account when you already have 2. I use TTB for my retirement visa, did it with an agent and nary a problem one. Perhaps you could explain in some detail what is up. Its not just opening a bank account that is for sure.

Do you feel safe where you live ?
Do you plan on going there for your "", colon irrigation" or sponsoring your nephew who is immature to go to there rather than Pattaya?
Seems to me you might be lonely and putting up these threads just for someone to talk to.

Reads like he simply wants to avoid the high numbers of tourist. One of the main reasons we rarely traveled during high season (except during covid), Along with higher cost and more pollution.
I read it as he wants to be here when there are the most tourists.
7 hours ago, Hal65 said:Looking to do my traveling when tourism's at its peak. I think December and February are the highs (ignoring Songkran week) but someone let me know if that's incorrect.
Seems he thinks the amount of working girls is tied to how many tourists are around, and he wants the biggest selection possible. January is just as busy as December and February.

i am not a fool to stay in thailand now that is hot....
You dont live here, and really know little to nothing about Thailand base on your posts. Again it was quite the rant. Perhaps India next year with your love of basmati.

jasmin rice vs basmati is like a wolkswagen beetle vs ferrari...it sucks big time....
i will start a petition to ban jasmin rice from thailand and import indian workers to erase this malady from thai fields....
i am sure i will get my petition supported by may russkies here...who cant afford basmati and have to eat cheap jasmin rice, or cpotatoe chips from 7/11 and you can see that the smile is gone from their faces forever
You had enough problems while you were in the LOS. You are not even in Thailand. You fled because of something growing on your ass. What brought on this out of the blue rant?

Are you claiming to see window air conditioners here in Thailand? Almost none for last 30 years so expect older units.
Bingo, the last one I saw was just at 40 years ago in my first apartment in BKK. Where have you seen them?

For 5 baht a day I have my own playlists, and all the playlists Spotify has made for me over the years. Much more hands free than Youtube IMHO.

Luckily my car does not have blue tooth but does have a USB port for charging. No interference at all.

I use Spotify daily in my car. My Vios is an entry model and has no blue tooth so I use a cord with a plug into the cars audio system and the jack for the phone into the phone. In the wife's car just tune it in with blue tooth once and it recognizes my phone. With the good coverage in Thailand I am rarely without tunes. Easy peasy as I am a tech dummy.

I have to assume the supplier you are complaining about was on Facebook or line. I find it hard to believe that you think these guys are the same as reputable operations. It costs little to nothing to set up a fake storefront on either. Extract as much money from the customer as you can, as quickly as you can
Why do you have to assume that? I clearly put up a screen shot of their website.

That he is, a throwback to the old days. I will stick with him and his products. Great value, and that is where the problem lies.

I was walking home from work last night in Sydney about 1030pm only to see a drag queen probably in his 60's lining up outside a bar to get in ...it was a cold night and I had respect for someone like that who actually goes out to mix with the drunks and young people and lines up on a cold night to get into a bar rather than the rest of us who would prefer to go home and watch midsummer murders or touch of frost on tv
Have you ever actually lived here in the LOS? Not stayed a few months, but lived here and interacted in Thai society.

Any other recommendations?
Order off the website. He is Thai and was very surprised how fast all his weed sold when the "Farungs" found out about it. On his message service there he told me they were out of the good stuff and he would let me know when it was in again. Its a pity you had a problem, but I would not make a big deal out of the 300 baht loss. In the future I believe this will be a good source.
I must also say this is my before bed weed as I prefer the good buzz of top quality bud. That I pay 200 per gram for the popcorn buds and am happy with that.

For starters, they're totally lacking in any selection of decent salsas, whereas Villa carries a wide range of locally produced good brands like El Sapo and El Charro.
Make your own as I did. Tomatoes very ripe, red bell pepper, chili peppers to your liking, onion, coriander, lemon juice and salt. 15 minutes job and keeps for say 10 days in the fridge. You learn to make do with what you have.

Had one on Samui a really long time ago. Now just cooking for friends. Too old and too damn hot. Thanks so much.

Foodland is horrible when it comes to any decent Mexican food grocery products.
Forget Mexican food in Thailand. I learned that the hard way.
I have not found that to be the case at all. Avocados are always available, Along with Pok Chee or corriander leaves, onions both red a white also. They have Mission wraps which are the best flour tortillas you will find here. They carry dried pinto beans, along with cumin and Mexican chili powder. Tomatoes both tinned and fresh are always there and they carry more than one kind of tortilla chips. What more do you want. You have guacamole, salsa cruda, and tacos, burritos or enchiladas to your hearts content. Few days ago whipped up this carnitas pork, perfect with some cheese topped refried beans along with fresh salsa.

Does your Thai partner know much about history outside of Thailand?

One thing to keep in mind is the Thai government schools phased out world geography and world history years ago, up to 20. It was replaced with courses on Thai Buddhism and local culture. Sadly the government has focused on keeping them in the dark about just about everything. Easy way to keep power as they have.
