  1. Sorry,

  2. Hope it reaches this far south of town (Hang Dong). In the long run I think it's the best chance countries with limited infrastructure are going to get faster internet out to the villages

    Realistic speaking.

How many people actually want / need super fast internet in far out villages?

If you were the owner of the company would you do it, install all the infrastructure for a couple of people?

  3. G R

    I see.

But at 900+ a night there are many many places.

    Widen the topic?

    Empress. Park. Downtown Inn.

    all along Chang Klan road.

Central but 2 minutes from super highway

  4. Do you think it'll become the norm soon?

    No.

Bangkok is not far away and it would need a lot more than a few Westerners to fill any venue capable of holding enough people to make it pay.

Linkin Park was attended by around 30000 Thais and under a hundred Westerners. Outside with tickets 600-2500.

Pattaya Music Festival attracts ALL the major Thai bands for free but does have a lot of teenagers there. Like those in the picture you posted a few weeks back.

It is the same arond the world . big bands play big places.

  5. CTG, have you actually stayed there? I know it's cheap and looks reasonable from the outside

    No have you?

Was going as you said by the nice appearance from the outside.

GotRoaper - you worry too much :o

There are hundreds of places to stay. They can not all be full.

  6. It is been there for many years.

Easy to see from the traffic lights at that cross roads.

Just go there are check it out?? easy?

I think it is owned by BUARAWONG HOTEL in Chang Klan road

  7. Now are you saying TOT has an office at Panthip also or would you think it better to go to the TOT Office on Tung Hotel Rd and check availability there?

Think it is them or is it TRUE?

Have you asked Ji-net? seem to be reliable.

Frustrating but guess it will all work out? :o

  8. And we all appreciate that in a normal civil society we would extend the hand of friendship and make available the opportunity, particulary in appreciation of their family status,to be able to live in their adopted country without fear or hindrance and be free to settle in harmony with their Thai kinsman for as long as they so wished and on an equal and fraternal basis.

Then get the PROPER Visa that Thailand freely gives.

Read the Pol Capn report AIMED at over and over again 'tourists'

No where in the world allows that

  9. Go into the new Panthip and check out TOT and Ji-Net plus others. THey have shiny new shops. Nice Staff and not many customers so will be a relaxing day.

Personally use dial up with Sanook Cards NOT 1222 and NEVER misses a beat...

    Hope that helps you.

Oh search this forum for a VERY long topic on adsl

    ct

  10. I am currently on their Web 100 plan which costs me 900 baht per month for 120 hours connection time. From my uninformed way of thinking, that plan will no longer be appropriate as I will not be using dial-up once I have ADSL installed. Is there some alternative plan I need to switch to with CSLoxinfo (if I need to stay with them) and if so, what are the monthly charges?

Just buy the 'sanook' red cards at 199 baht for 50 hours?

  11. I know you stated Chiang Mai, but if the soothsayers are correct, and you are willing to travel a little, then in about a week you ought be able to make one [lleh]of a deal in the second hand shops around Mae Sai >>>>>

Hire armed guard in Mae Sai get one free :o:D:D for visa making new
