  1. Thanks Beardog&Commande for this useful information; anyone else who has similar experiences or even(almost scared to ask)can recommend a shop/dealer

for sales or maintenance either BKK or P.)

Honda Big Wing in Pattaya has just about every model Super Sport bike from 600cc to 1000cc in stock sitting on the show room floor

Kawasaki is great, they have been selling big bikes for a long time here, definitely nothing wrong with a Ninja ZX 10R or even a Ninja ZX 6R,

Your saying that down there in Pattaya the Big Wing has New Honda 600RR's on the floor?

    And Kawasaki has Zx6R's???

I have never seen 600rr's at Big Wings or zx6's at Kawasaki Dealers in Thailand

Surprising they have them in your area

  2. Took delivery last night.

Going to (gradually) remove ugly items on the bike with a mash hammer 555.

    Things to do:

    1. Change rear sprocket with 2 less teeth as she does have tall gears.

Congrats on the new bike Norm

    Hope it is a blast.

On the gearing though if it is tall already reducing rear sprocket 2 teeth will make it even taller

  3. Yep. That looks like good work. Nice welds too. How much was it mania?

I believe the full system for the N250 was 16900 baht

    PS:

    Here is their FB page

The guy seems nice & was easy to talk with when I asked

    a few Q's awhile back

    https://www.facebook.com/Aliasnolimits?hc_location=stream

PSS: I see they have You tube clips of the 500 with their

slip on & both with & without the DB killer in

Seems they do not have the full system yet?

But looks like they are coming soon.

  4. Huh. Ok. Got it. That one looks good too. I remember that. But pretty fixed on yoshi now and it needs to be a full system. Hard to decide on pipe man!

Yeah these days I think the manufacturers have the bikes so close already that you just pick what you like

for sound & looks. Because gains all look about the same & not that big.

All seem roughly equal with pipe, filter, ecu upgrade

I did not see the Alias/Corse full system for the Honda but did see this for the N250

Welds look good & titanium should be light & last awhile

  5. Weird weather

This is off of Facebook today at 16:00
Samoeng area. Good amount of Hail

They said they never saw anything like it & it looked like salt it was so plentiful

  6. Mania cbr500 tail is not same as ninja. It is a big part nearly connecting above the shock. I can only cut it but i dont want. The plate holder is adjustable so i can fit it to any tail tidy. And for me looks superb for others i dont care really. Corsa looks so thin for me. I am about to order yoshimura r 77. Sounds the best and looks better than leo vince corsa. Corsa is made in indonesia and welding looks poor. Check the photos. Full system is around 700 usd.

Yeah funny you should mention that.

I was just at a shop today & they had like 3 Honda's sitting there so I was looking

at the tail & yes massive. Not something easily modded by the looks of it. sad.png

As for the exhaust yes Yosh is nice & has actually made a new one called R-11

Your confused on the Corse I am speaking of is the one I told you about before.

It is not a Leo Vince

It is sold by a Thai company called Alias No Limit

The exhaust is titanium looks well made & I believe is made in Italy

Not sure if they have both full & slip for the Honda I know they do both for the Kawa's

They had some pics of a 500 with one on their FB page

Dont know who the guy is it is from their FB page smile.png

  7. I bought one in sports world kaad suan kaew, brand Nike 1000baht and only have 3 models of cotton ones! Ridiculous!

    Central airport same same hehe

Saw Adida brands at Airport today & they are pricey wink.png 1500-1700

Boy lots of sports related equipment/clothing is much more here in Thailand than the US.

    Import taxes I guess.....

  8. Top floor Airport Plaza, pharmacy right near Robinsons entrance.

Generic Minoxidil about 690 Baht bottle 5% solution, no idea about genuine Regaine

I'm sure there are lots of other places, but that's where I've seen it.

Thanks! What can I say. I works for me.

New to me mind telling some of the benefits.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minoxidil

I have heard about it being a anti hypertensive med but

I think most use it to slow/stop hair loss afaik

  9. Sports World in kad suan kaew

Also in the same mall is Central which has a decent sports department

Then Robinsons at airport mall sport department too.

Dont know about prices though it seems everything has been going up.

But all three have sales if your not in a rush

  10. Thanks mania. There are not many parts around for 500 series so while waiting for proper options, just got them while passing close to k speed. They are not the best but it is cheap fun.

Plate holder looks better and less busy when the plate is on no worries:D and a tail tidy will come eventually!

Not super sure about the flush mounts though.

On the Tail Tidy you should consider getting the parts rather than

    the tidy tail kits

I did this to mine....Just got a couple flush mount lights & a flasher relay

along with a small plate bracket. The turn signals are very bright & no problem.

Got rid of the large rear fender/plate holder light deal & the large turn signals

    PS:

Hey also I have seen a CBR500 with that Corse Titanium exhaust I mentioned to you before.

    Looked good

  11. Went to k speed shop at rama 2 road last weekend. Bought k speed protective door knobs - sliders -, front shock adjusters,

    Congrats LL

Sliders are one of the best first accessory investments to make smile.png

Like the fork preload adjusters too.

That rear license plate bracket is pretty massive though. wink.png

  12. The manufacture engineered the machine

    Your getting warmer

So basically your saying they engineered this engine with the valves so tight from the factory that after

600 miles they need to be checked & possibly slacked/adjusted?

Hey main thing is your happy & feel it is all biz as usual.......

Perhaps re-read the original post..... it was never about whether or not Honda

was right. Of course if they see this build as needing a valve adjustment at 600 miles then it does.

That was not the problem folks had with it. But most of that Whooshed right over your head.

    Fugget about it ... wink.png

  13. Appreciate your point of view, suggest you contact Honda and discuss with them...

Nah nothing to discuss as I do not own one.

But go ahead if your one of the guys having to pay wink.png

Not really a POV just facts

No Bike manufacturer in the world including the $40,000 dollar high rpm super bikes need

    a valve check at 1000kms

Anyone who thinks it is justified on a twin cylinder 6 thousand dollar bike is being overly

    brand sensitive.

  14. Having read thru this topic I think there is some confusion going on.

I dont think anyone has a problem with Warranties or what they should or should not cover.
    What is consumables etc.

I think what folks who are surprised at having to pay for this valve adjustment are trying to say
is it is not normal wear & tear for a bike with 1000km to need a valve adjustment period

None builds an engine on a mass produced bike so tight that it should need valve shims changed at 1000km
period. That is just wrong period.

If Honda has determined through some checking that their 500 series does need a valve adjustment at 1000kms
then what they have uncovered is a fault in the build. That should not be a warranty issue either it should be
a recall & free of charge to fix/check the problem.

This is not a brand issue nor a warranty issue IMHO

  15. Hey all, I just picked up a 2011 Ninja and was wondering what you guys use to lock it up at night with. I saw the Scorpio i900 but at 14400B it's a bit much this month due to buying the bike, insurance, rent, and just daily expenses. Also, the tunerx integrated tail light, is there any confirmed seller which can get them here without customs caring?

Just a disc lock is fine for most folks

The integrated tail lights are sold here now under various names

Check places like Kittisak or ask the forum sponsor Sumet?

  16. OIC, cheers for that, great link. Do you know if its possible to watch the qatar race on this site, i'm terrible at navigating these infernal sites. Lord knows why its not available on youtube in this day and age

As far as I know they have only uploaded the Austin race but hopefully they will try and upload the rest of the season.

I did manage to see the Qatar race but will be keeping an eye out to see if anyone uploads it in the near future.

If I find it then I will post a link on this thread. If anyone in the meantime finds it,then maybe they could share the link here also.

    Here ya go

This is a great link but only if you have a good connection as you need to download the entire races.

But it is nice that they are available with Moto2 & 3 also

Remember when both 780p & 480p is available one will be larger than the other due to higher resolution wink.png

I just got done watching Jerez 2013 3 days of testing & those were not too big.

Remember do not watch there but right click & save on your computer

    Enjoy wink.png

  17. I am surprised how many folks I see using bar end mirrors these days

    Anyone here using them?

If so what do you think of them?

On the one hand I can see they would be in a good line of sight

On the other of course it would widen your bike & hamper cutting between cars

Just curious what folks who use them think.

I dont think they look good at all on sport bikes

but have seen more & more now that they have the Z style ninjas & monsters of course

  18. Just got goodridges for about 5000 something. Compared to European prices nearly same

I would not go for goodridge its just a cheap brand imho. If i remember they are not even dot approved. That in itself is a reason to buya different brand

I did not know they were a UK product but they are DOT/TUV approved

Goodridge brake lines is an imported product from UK and has passed D.O.T. certified and T.U.V. approved (Germany). Also been certified ISO9002.

  19. Ok, I'll bite.

Firstly the CBR 500 rang alarm bells?? That's news to me there is even such a bike. 250 yes, 400 yes, 600 yes etc

Looks like you got the wool pulled over your eyes if you paid more than what a 250CBR would of costed to rent. Yes I can see it has the decal CBR 500 but that engine sound is no way more than 250 wink.png

    Your joking right?

The CBR500 & the F & the X has been around awhile now

Yeah nothing to write home about but it is more than a decal.

Maybe you have not noticed as they are only sold at Big wings not small dealers that sell

all the others, Clicks, Waves,CRF,CBR250 etc.
