  1. Lot pipe options in Praram2bikes. Picked up mine today.

So I bought the same exhaust from PR2. Wow! Too loud.. As you can see its off now and in a box.

Anyone know how I can quieten it up a bit? Looks good but sounds horrible.

Got picked by the police on the way back. Not for the sound though. I switched it off while showing my license. Took off slow so not to get called back by the police..

    Disappointing!

Anyone know where to get a baffle or something?

Edit>>> OK looks like 2 inch baffle will fit..

Where in bangkok can you buy one?

That's weird, i don't find mine loud at all, far from it. Been driving past the cop check points many times with this pipe, haven't got stopped

Mine was offensive loud.. I mean I'm not an old fart like some other whiney ppl on here but this exhaust was taking the piss..

So I did something about it this afternoon

Pipe cut down on the lathe and then punched holes in the side. Fitted inside the exhaust.

    Sounds good!

  3. Hotels are everywhere and cheap.. can sleep many on the floor as well.

Imagine a crazy fortuner with a caravan on the back

Infinite possibilities...6 inside the truck,15 on the back and another 10-15 inside the caravan...though an entire small village could have vacation at the same time....Songkran is coming...

It's perfect for The Village people on vacation

BBQing grilled chicken out the back as somchai navigates the tuna at 140+

  4. Anyone have any info on what parts are / will be available for the scramblers? So far a search only reveals hat and scarf options.

Jokes aside ive only really seen the stick on panel for the fuel tank and maybe handlebar options. But what else? They're talking wireing loom with interchangeable connectors. What could it be for? Its got the USB under the seat.. What can it do? does it supply charging power only or is it connected to the ECU as well?

  5. Next to a Panigale everything looks cheap smile.png I mean come on, can't compare the bikes.

But on a general level the build quality seems pretty decent in my opinion. I'll let you know by the end of the month if anything fell off of mine.

Agreed. I drool over the beautifully machined parts and finish on the classic Ducaties.

The Scrambler didn't get my juices flowing. Should have spent less on the goofy marketing program and put that into the bikes.

I dont get the marketing program at all. The whole hipster image its aimed at has peaked. Nobody riding original scrambler bikes wore an errol flyn mustache and wood choppers shirt.

  6. Me, forever looking at new projects, am thinking about trying out a Garmin Navi 2597 on my bike. Lifetime maps. will mount to my ram mount (not with X grip crap though). Can get sent from overseas (new) for 4000, baht.

Looking at another motorcycling adventure forum (not thai based) seems that a few people have successfully got this model to work and reliably too. With various waterproofing methods.

Cheap way to look over the fence onto the garmin camp.

  7. im in the same frame of mind as Shurup.. I love gadgets and making projects but I just cant swallow the 20k + price of a dedicated motorcycle GPS.. id rather spend the money else where. Though at least once a week im reconsidering whether to by a garmin, but basecamp exports routes to Locus app on my s5 with no problem, giving turn by turn navigation on even the narrowest of sois through bangkok.. Connected with usb power and mounted on a RAM mount. Not much different to a garmin in usability..I might add that im using downloaded maps and not chewing data.

The only thing which is still up in the air is ..is Garmin maps for thailand, especially bangkok better than OSM maps and Google maps?

OSM is missing details of a lot of sois, but google maps has it all. How does a paid for garmin map compare. So far locus does not accept a garmin map properly. However OSMand does accept Garmin maps.

sorry too many coffees for night shift and im rambling
