  3. Good day, I am a little confused regarding the need for a Thailand Re-entry permit, I want to go on holiday to the UK end October I came into Thailand beginning October 2022, on a Non Imm O visa. I applied for the Retirement extension and was accepted. The stamp in my passport is good until 13 Jan 2024. I see on the stamp it states Re-Entry permit, number of Persons - One, number of Entries-Single. My question is, do I have to get a Re-Entry Permit before leaving Thailand? Many thanks for any advice
  4. Thanks Sheryl, yes you are correct, most people probably do think once it's ''cured'' then the problem is finished. I know I did.
  5. In that case how far must one go back in one's medical history, is there a time limit?
  6. Thanks you It was really a hypothetical question, brought on by my wifes experience, but I am having some trouble with my. I would think it should be assessed of where on the spine the op was for, but I've found in my short time in Thailand the rules are quite different.
  7. They would call it a preexisting after 5 yeas? The operation was a success and no problems since.
  8. Good morning, How do the medical insurance people determine what is a preexisting condition? Five months so my wife had some trouble with wrist, no operation just an injection. We did not have insurance at the time. Recently a bone spur stated developing on the same wrist, an operation was called for. On contacting the Insurance I was told it is a preexisting condition. Arguing didn't get me anywhere except to the hospital cashier to pay Thb70,000. My question ---- 5 years ago I had Spinal Stenosis operation If I had to go for an operation on my spine now would the insurance company pay for the procedure, or declare it a Preexisting condition ? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you

  15. Good day, I need to find a doctor who will prescribe for me blood pressure medication. I have some left over from my home country but the pharmacies I've don't stock anything life the stuff I have. I think it best if I see a local doctor and he can prescribe what I need. I just have to find a doctor. I would appreciate if somebody please help. I am in Khan Na Yao off Rachada-Ramintra Road. Thank you.
  16. Good day, I am now on a retirement visa here in Bangkok and am looking for advice on how to find a doctor who will prescribe on going medication for high blood pressure. In my home country I could get a prescription for 6 months, getting the medication every month. Is this possible in Thailand? Medication I brought with me is enough for another month, after that I will need more. I have asked several pharmacies if they have the same as I am using without success. I would appreciate it if somebody can give me advice on where I can find a doctor who can prescribe the required medicine. I live off Rachada-Ramintra Rd, Kha Na Yao area. Obviously better if I can find a doctor around here, but anywhere will be good. Thank you

  19. Good day, I am in Thailand on a Non Imm. O Visa, retirement. I have been offered a short term, possibly 3 months, away from Thailand. I would please like to ask what is the tax situation if I bring the salary into Thailand. I would be paid in US$, I have a US$ account here also a Thai Baht account. What is the best way to bring that money in, taxwise. I have no other income aside from pension. Any advise would be appreciated, thank you.
