  1. My bad. Yes, multiple re entry This question is important, someone please Best Regards Michael
  2. Hi, I need a new triple re-entry permit stamped in my passport at CW Immigration. I will be short of time when in Bangkok so need to ask for advice on how long time they normally take nowadays. 1) I have a permanent residency but I assume that desk only moves old triple re-entry from old to new passport. I think I remember that's a different desk to get a new re-entry, correct? 2) I will get to CW Immigration at 10:30 Monday and must leave at lunch. I should be able to hand in passport but I will hardly have time to wait for it. 3) Can I hand in passport on Monday and fetch it say Thursday? Or can they mail it to me? Best Regards Michael
  3. Well, they always stamp and put in a reference to the original date of my residency on the first page of the passport. I wouldn't want to try to do anything in Thailand with a totally blank passport ???? I want that one Thanks Tomaz These questions remain. Anyone?
  4. Hi All, Issue: Permanent resident, passport will expire soon Only happens once every 5 years and I always forget the details... So, I fetch the new passport, bring old and new passport, the blue and the red (police) book to immigration at Cheangwattana, I'll be there after lunch so fetch the next day, that's OK. Questions Any special day or time I must be at Cheangwattana? Which section? Section E? Do I have to fill in any papers before I get to TM? I kind of remember that they said I had to had papers filled in to be able to queue but I can't find any forms etc. for moving permanent residency from old to new passport Triple entry cost? Less than 4,000 baht, right? Any other costs? Do I have to go to the police station to update the red police book with anything? Anything else I have forgotten? Thanks all Best Regards Michael
  5. Riptides can be nasty in October, bet that's what happened. RIP
  6. You ask for moral obligation. Guess some posters missed that ???? My take is that the Thai's want to move on and they are well protected by vaccines now so why not let them do that. They don't want you to do anything drastic. Sick stay at home is good, advice them to test themselves, nice gesture to pay for home tests (if fewish employees) but not necessary, they're only 30 baht or so at a pharmacy. Let me know if you need any help. No need to call the customers, they don't want to know anyway. I'd love to say vaccinated get sick leave with pay but unvaccinated don't get any money and are not allowed to come until they test positive but that is unfortunately not legal here.
  7. Well said Gecko. The purpose of the law is not to stop justice if justice is deserved. Just bad journalism again
  8. Only for those who don't understand it. There's nothing perfect though
  9. Sorry if I was wrong. I never knew that my ex wife's sisters husband had to pay for his gun. I never even thought of asking.
  10. Eeeh, the gun he used was his own legally registered gun. The police service weapon had been returned. It is not a criminal offence to own a legally registered weapon so they have no power to just take his private gun away from him. They should have notified the licensing authorities though, they didn't. I doubt they would have acted either so Thailand has a long way to go
  11. There is plenty of information about the investigation and how it's going in articles reporting on that. This was however just a short article announcing the death of another victim. I'm slow reading Thai so it gets boring reading Thai news, I watch Thai news on Youtube instead. Better information in Thai than in English news.
  12. 25 years ago when I went through a divorce, I smoked ganja every day for nearly a year. I started to feel the need in the afternoon, hurried home, stopped at 7-eleven to buy brownies, managed to keep my job. Well, I felt it was difficult to stop, back then, I thought it was physical withdrawal symptoms. It wasn't of course but I could feel no difference whatsoever. It was certainly not easy to stop but I have a lot of self discipline so I decided to stop and I did. What I felt when I stopped lasted about 2 - 3 weeks. What was it I felt when I stopped, cannabis cold?
  13. Because our parents taught us to respect others while yours didn't? Respect for others is important in Thailand, one of the reasons why many Thai's still wear masks
  14. What matters is that family court doesn't care. Its just another common reason why people want to divorce
  15. You probably don't want an imported mattress but for my own back, nothing beats a sealy. The only brand that keeps my rather sensitive back happy at all times. 30,000 plus unfortunately. Another pretty good choice is dunlopilo's latex mattresses but I find them a bit too firm. Different feeling from quality spring mattresses but not bad at all
  16. I borrowed my daughter's Honda rebel 300, was going to park in the normal area because the big bike area said 400 I think it was and the guard came running and moved me to the bigbike area.. The guard didn't know but he would have moved me anyway. They have a practical way of seeing things in Thailand.
  17. I drove for 29 years to some 50 provinces in Thailand before I finally got myself a Thai driving license 2 years ago, never any problems with either the police or the insurance company. Never go to Pattaya so no idea how it is there. Be respectful and polite and people will be respectful and polite back. Don't worry so much
  18. Yes and no. Sure, many lower income level people are struggling, especially lower income level families but there are also many who still have money and they are itching to travel. Not going to be the old numbers of course, that will take a long time, but I do think we will be surprised in December. Aeroflot won't be flying many Boeings or Airbus's in December, most will be grounded due to lack of spare parts
  19. Why not, westerners and wealthy Indians are not afraid of covid-19 and are itching to travel. Russia and China won't travel though so lets say good recovery but not full recovery.
  20. I thought that I was clear enough but obvoiusly not. Measurement inaccuracy means that you have a target size and actual size can vary a bit both both up and down. What I showed Lazada evidence of and they ignored was that the vendor changed the target size. Factory target size was 190 cm and we could see 189 to 191 cm with +- 1 cm The vendor takes the same product and advertise target size 195 cm. We can then see 194 to 196 cm with +- 1 cm. Simple enough Sorry but what has measurement inaccuracy to do with deliberately changing the advertized size? And I never said it was the only occasion I was unlucky with Lazada. I have 53 pages of completed purchases Lazada, there has of course been more, just less money so I didn't bother to mention them. I use Shopee now. They have been better this far but I'm pretty sure they will also show their true colours one day.
  21. Not all refund requests are accepted at all. My own personal experience. I provided clear undesputable evidence and lazada still rejected. So what evidence? Vendor advertised max lenght 195 cm for a rain suit, oh good, I order and get a rainsuit where the factory clearly state max size 190 cm (I'm over 190 cm). I scanned both of them side by side, vendor of course rejected, I appealed and lazada rejected. That lazada returns are always dealt with without any issue is simply not true, just your good luck. Please share some with me. Anyone wants rainsuit shorts?
  22. Sure he can, but there isn't that much in the bay of Thailand. He will get through Koh Mak, Koh chang, Koh kood, Koh tao, Koh samet, Koh Samui and Koh phangan and the islands around there in 4-5 months. The andaman side has more. Nice islands around Koh lipe and many islands on the way up to Rayong. Shouldn't be dangerous. Stay away from cambodia and plan the trip and take your time through the malacca straight.
