  1. I've been pricing LHR-BKK-LHR for Sept and THAI(TG)are around £767 and EVA £547(most dates),TG cheaper flights are normally only good for a month. I actually prefer TG,because the better service, food and Singha ;-) being served.

I flew TG in June for £544,including a domestic. Don't paying a little extra, but not over £200 for the same route/dates. I've heard that TG will not drop their pricing, because they have a superior product. That's why the flights are not full, shame. I've been using them for nearly 30 years.

  2. Good lord I hate to beat this horse.... the finance lady is again saying I have to have this for my car. Its at the lot waiting for me, but I can't take it until I have the COR. I explained to her that I have already been to Immigration, said that I wanted to buy a car and they would not give me one. Any suggestions?

    .

Like me,no choice but to go to your Embassy and pay thru the nose,or have a visa or extension(with 90 day reporting)and they will issue a COR.

    a real pain

  3. My friend you are talking about a multiple entry whereby on rentry the 90 day begins again,is imaterial of leaving often the immo is correct.

As for the residence part i believe TM18 issued by immo is the form in ?.

The TM18 is for other purposes. This form with no number is the correct form to use. http://immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/res_cert.pdf

Yes,that's the form I downloaded. As it states Immigration, would any Embassy accept to this form?.

It seems crazy you can take your DL test on a tourist visa, but can get proof of residence from Immigration at CW!..

Why don't CW accept their own form?.(unless you do your 90 day report there)

  4. Its very easy to use in English, it also has a Nostra guide built in.

The 42 only comes in English OR Thai, the dearer models have both. But don't try and add Thai on an English version,as it will then always default to Thai language on the Map and the voice detection can't work properly. I find it invaluable, I drive a fair bit and its means your never really lost. Cheers

  5. Just an update,my Garmin Nuvi 42,screen started freezing(a common fault). I took to Eagle GPS in CNX after re/booting and updating it,but just got I no can do!.

And I brought it from them, they told me to tale it to Garmin BKK,great.

BKK Garmin told me to sent it to them, but as I was going to BKK anyway,I took it there.

They were wonderful, told me to come back in a hour, loaded new software and no charge .

Very good service, shame about Eagle, surely they must have software updates?.

    It working fine agIn now

  6. I got married at an Amphor office and divorced in the UK,I did registrar it at the embassy.

Last year I found out I was still married here, the ex and her new boyfriend didn't want to wait a few days until I could meet them and sign the Divorce paperwork, the Amphor told me to get a certified copy of my degree absolute from the British Embassy, which I did.

This would cover me and also allow myself to re-marry,I wanted to divorce her,the only other option is the courts.

If I did re-marry,she would be in trouble(as advised by the officer).

A bit extreme but tempting! ;)

  7. Nationwide have a flex direct account paying 5% but only for a year,I changed my flex account to flex plus(£10 a month.

But paying 2.5% on the first £2,500,NO ATM charges,NO Currency exchange fee, anywhere in the World and as it's a fee based account it's unlikely to change, unlike Metro

The cracker is also the free travel insurance, normally 31 days but can be upgraded to max 90 days per trip(unlimited per year)at a cost of £90 per year.
