  1. I ve used Lucky Dog and been pleased , but so far to drive now . I use Bok Meaw she gets her own room with airconditioning or fan and I can watch her 24 7 oncvtv. I nring her food and its 300 baht per day .

  2. Im looking now to purchase a motorcycle , here in Chiangmai . Can someone explain what the point of an invoice is , what can be done with a bike which you have an invoice . Can it be tagged and run on the roads legal ? This has really been an experience of course even the ones tryingto sell bikes with no book and no invoice say oh just ride it no one cares ...

  3. Any chance of more directions, or better still, the name of the restaurant? The Hang Dong road is a long one, and there's more than one hospital!

Are we talking the Klaimor Hospital (next to Tescos) or are we further out than that?

The names of both the restaurant and the hospital would both be helpful and seem logical - why not?
Sorry its Hang Dong hospital ,
  4. I dont normally get very excited about places that serve both farrang and thai food . But wifes been nagging me to try a new place not far from home. Went had a rack of ribs came with a salad and french fries . Wife had spagetti. She had tried the thai food the other day on her own and said it was good. I can say too my meal was good as well as her spagetti . Bill was 250 baht , very much worth what I had. Im hoping he can stay in business because the food excellent . If you travel south on Hangdong road , go past the hospital , you will pass a gas station on the right , next street turn right and hes right on the corner under a big tree . Good food farrang and wife do the cooking . I was impressed ...

  5. I brought my dog from the usa , first you must have a usda certificate from the vet stating the dog has had rabies and distempeper vacination no soomer than 21 days before departure . This needs to be filled out and sent to the usda office in your state within ten days of departure and returned to you . That was $35.00 I sent it ups overnight and included and pre paid overnight envelope to return to me. Usda ia aware that it must get back to you in that time and will process ot fast . Most vets in the us know and have the forms . We send an email to aggriculture in bangkok with our flight details and a picture of the dog. All the airline required was the usda form and we paid to have the dog ride in an approved case in the cabin. When we got to bangkok we checked in at aggrriculture paid 250 baht they check the documents and from there we stopped at customs and paid another 1000 baht . Thats all there was to it . When we booked oir tickets we informed them we were bringing a dog , we used Delta diring lay overs there were no issues . If you have any other questions in box me and I ll try to answer them ....

Thank you for the response. What was the 1000 baht fee assessed for? You say it was at customs, but what was the calculation that got to 1000 baht?

They charged me an import tax based on what they tought the value was , wife pitched a fit , I paid it , after 30 hours of travel I just wanted to find a bed...

  7. Well I stopped in again today to get another sub. Got an italian full sandwich . Was very good they put on it what I wanted took it next door to the somtan resturant ate it while my wife had that stuff I cant quiye get use too . Sandwich was good but I will say subway has better bread ...

  8. ^ Agreed, though nothing was ever affordable there. Rosewood certainly wasn't. Wine Connection I liked on my first visit, but second visit was a big disappointment (food quality, freshness of seafood (lack thereof).)

The sub shop was open last night.. Staff were sitting down so wasn't immediately clear/visible they were open.

The Game was very busy: about 5-6 people inside.

We had Isarn food a bit up (North) from Kad Farang. It was excellent. There is also a new Som Tam Udon restaurant at Kad Farang. (Didn't try it). And Donut chain; forgot which one.

My wife loves the Som tom there says it the best .
  9. I went the other day , had a great meatball sub , got ome for the wife too and brought home . Mine were real good better than subway and cheeper . The place was very clean and the service was good . There was a lady there training the help she was very nice and made a good sub . As far as the price I felt ti to be very fair . I ll go back for sure .

  10. As long as it keeps the three of you happy I am a success. Check me out. I may appear to be always wrong because I am not a Thai basher. So I will have a hard time turning the information in to sh-t. When the funding is spent the service will improve immensely.

Carry on with your beliefs. I have faith in the Thais. They do not follow my schedule but they do get the job done. That is why I live here. If I felt the way a lot of posters do I would be out of here like a shot.

    wheres the hankychiefs

For a guy who pays over a 1,000 baht a year to have 4 letters sent for him you seem to have a lot to say about some thing you know nothing about.

take it you are referring to 90 day reports being done by my super duper visa agent for a fee of 1000 baht

presently my super duper agent fee is 5000 baht

which is for retirement visa to be processed at the zoo,

and all 90 day reports are included in the 5000 baht fee

and a chelsea good morning to all:)

I would much rather take my papers every 90 days wait , than to have to take my passpprt to an agent and then pick it back up when its ready . Yea they could speed things up a bit , but all and all it could be alot worse ..
