DHAKA/BHASAN CHAR/COX'S BAZAR, Bangladesh (Reuters) - Bangladesh is racing to turn an uninhabited and muddy Bay of Bengal island into home for 100,000 Rohingya Muslims who have fled a military crackdown in Myanmar, amid conflicting signals from top Bangladeshi officials about whether the refugees would end up being stranded there.

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Dutch financial services company ING (INGA.AS) on Tuesday confirmed that Bitfinex, one of the largest exchanges for trading in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, has a bank account with it in the Netherlands.

Samkong landslide killed one worker, injures another

...workers who were flattening the ground surface next to the retention wall and the wall suddenly fell on them. 3 out of the 4 were buried in the soil.

Thailand performs better on graft-busting efforts

Most recently, a pigeon was pecked to death by crows just after the junta leader denied believing in superstitious portents.
