Here comes the cavalry! Desperate Foreigner pictured with Thai police on Pattaya march

A destitute foreigner who featured on several Thai social media sites walking from the north east to Pattaya looks to have found some uniformed help - the Thai police.

The man - who it was earlier reported was walking to Pattaya without any money - is believed to be Russian and was pictured flanked by two female officers and a male cop.

His plight was featured by Jureewan Reuangdech who said that he was even filling up a water bottle in the toilets.

She asked people who met him to chip in and lend a hand.

He had reached Udon at one point but his exact location now remains unclear.

Maybe he was poor and randy, hoping for a freebie in Sin City... :passifier:

No wonder all Caucasians in Thailand are presumed to be 'poor' these days.

They probably lost too much money by paying the outrageous National Park entrance fees.

Well I like that name way more than "swampy". Did you make it up?

Seems to be a Russian thing, anyone remember the Russian couple with 2 kids hitchhiking to Pattaya a couple of years ago ?

I'd buy him plenty of food and water if ever I'll meet him.

Went for a two month ride in France with my two horses.

Although I had a sound budget, I was met quite often with great hospitality.

Given food and shelter for the horses and myself.

When travelling by yourself it feels just wonderful to meet good people.

Best wishes to that guy, wherever he comes from, wherever he is heading for.

Looks like  Abromovitch 's son  ...............

Yea, left John Terry holding the fort in a bamboo hut in Buriram while he went for help. The contract with Buriram Utd fell through.

A forlorn hope! No mention of his status... do Russians only get 30 days without a Visa?

The Thaivisa commentariat is missing the point.

We are looking here at the Russian Toon, who is walking the country. Once he arrives in Pattaya, there will be Uncle Tu and General Rolex with the Thai media waiting for him for another photo opportunity...
