Anyone who isn't paying attention to all the Trump popcorn comms coming out genuinely isn't seeing what is about to go down in the world. He bought it at the store. He handed it out at the UofA football game. This is all a scripted psyop, and we're about to witness the greatest show ever performed. I'm not saying it's going to be a comedy. More like a horror movie. But like the ancient Roman gladiator contests, we're about to experience the living reality of that famous utterance: "Are you not entertained?" It really is time to grab the popcorn and watch what is about to unfold. Just remember, no matter how bad it may appear, aside from the very real economic devastation and individual death and suffering, the rest is just Wag the Dog nonsense. The end is already written, and we all have a front row seat. If you are one of the several on here who irrationally despise Trump, the next few months are going to be very, very difficult for you. Your world view is going to be flipped on its head. You are about to learn why Ukraine was really the villain in this production all along. And that yes, Trump really has been working all along with the US military to overthrow the globalist criminal syndicate, and how deep the corruption in the US really goes. Enjoy my friends. We got less than a year left of this ridiculous madness. Where we go after that, for the first time in any of our lives, really will be entirely up to us. -

Thai Wife Issues in the UK
Most Thai's have a unrealistic view of what life will be like in the uk. Weather is total crap. cold, ( Thais love the cold ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Work, may only be cooking or cleaning jobs. ( a bit depressing for them ) not the high life they may have thought. some just want to go home as the streets were not paved with gold. But in your case OP, get her phone off her for 10 minutes. Think you will find all the answers there. good luck. -

Perhaps one of the reasons this report from ICE got little major media coverage, except for mostly the usual cast of right-wing Trump supporting outlets, are the following details reported today by Fox in a follow-up article: "In a statement on Saturday, DHS said the data was being "misinterpreted." "The data goes back decades; it includes individuals who entered the country over the past 40 years or more, the vast majority of whose custody determination was made long before this Administration," a spokesperson said. "It also includes many who are under the jurisdiction or currently incarcerated by federal, state or local law enforcement partners." [emphasis added] The administration has said it needs more funding and reforms from Congress to fix a "broken" immigration system, including via a bipartisan Senate bill introduced this year – which has been rejected by Republicans. DHS said that bill would have provided much-needed resources, including additional immigration enforcement agents and officers and additional detention resources." https://www.yahoo.com/news/white-house-mum-amid-outrage-001642921.html The same Fox report also included the following added detail for sorely lacking context -- the recent ICE report says their non-detained docket counted 425,431 undocumented individuals with criminal convictions. Then adding of that number, "The data does not reveal how many of those criminals are recent arrivals. [emphasis added] But then the article goes on to add, "in August 2016, toward the end of the Obama administration, ICE said there were about 2.2 million noncitizens on the non-detained docket and about 368,574 were convicted criminals." [emphasis added] Meaning, that the ICE count of undocumented individuals with supposed criminal conviction histories already was 368,574 before Trump and Biden ever took office, and only grew by almost 57,000 (about 15%) during the entire eight years of the Trump and Biden administrations, with no breakdown of how many were added during either of those two presidents." Thus, Trump and related Republicans who have long histories of demonizing documented and undocumented immigrants will try to paint the ICE report numbers as somehow the fault of Biden and Harris, and that the crime situation has been spiraling out of control. When in fact, whatever the numbers really represent (and that looks to be in considerable doubt given the DHS comments reported above about the data going back 40+ years and that the non-detained count in fact includes individual who ARE incarcerated), the vast majority of those counted got added to ICE's list (whatever it may or may not represent) long before Trump and Biden came along. -

Baht strength - How long?
What is going on is "macro economics" with bursts of speculation. If it were predictable, I would be purchasing an ocean-side penthouse. How long will this last? My "bet" would be at least until after the US election. If I was to guess, I would expect it to bottom out in the 31 handle. The chart looks a lot like the 3rd quarter of 2022. -

Western Union better than “Wise”
Yes, I asked wise, and they said that only 2 Thai Banks(Bangkok bank was one of them if I remember it right) allow transfers in excess of 2000 $. But that can't be the whole story. I was able to transfer more than that into my KTB account via payoneer. -

I'm certainly not the first to wonder about the exchange rate THB against other currencies, but please bear with me! I see the current rates: 1 USD = 32.4 THB which is 9% down compared to 6 months ago 1 EUR = 36.2 THB which is 7% down compared to 6 months ago 1 GBP = 43.3 THB which is 5% down compared to 6 months ago That's quite a drop in purchasing power within a relatively short time for a lot of western residents in Thailand, and for a lot of potential western tourists! Can someone explain what is going on and give a view on how long this trend might hold in the near-mid term? -

High BP, revisited.
If you are sort of 80 years + or so, most doctors will be happy if they can reduce your BP to 140/. Not to say that that is desirable, but the side effects of BP lowering drugs at that age becomes important. Questions asked should be: do you smoke, alcohol consumption, exercise, consumption of carbohydrates (which includes sugar and starch)...? Seed oils and ultra-processed foods also play a role. It's not just about living longer, it's about living a healthy life for as long as possible. -
