Jailed Teacher Didn't Speak Out

Recommended Posts

Just to let everybody know the English teacher in question didn't speak out to anyone. I personally called him to ask and he hasn't even heard of the mentioned interviewer or site. Ok these lads are bitter but just to let everyone know there has been no contact from anybody. Someone somewhere playing a joke.

This refers to one or the other of the two farang teachers of English who were arrested for having fake degrees (supposedly requested by their employer, Kornpitacksuksa School in Bangbon, Bangkok). One interview was supposedly posted on another website (Bangkok Girls?), and contained profane language. Who among us would not have some profane language after being told to go get a fake piece of paper, and then being put in a Bangkok prison for three months?

Apparently both prisoners knew better and didn't make any statements to the press during their imprisonment. One may have run back to his native country, and may not be willing to talk about it. The other may still be here, keeping a low profile.

What lessons can we, as teachers in Thailand, learn from this?

PB,the two teachers are now in their own country , escorted onto the planes handcuffed and each were given a life time ban from entering Thailand again. Sad really but I honestly think they don't care after what has happened between both party's imm and the school.

handcuffed onto the plane after serving their time? that doesn't make sense, well, Thailand doesn't make sense anyway. but I will need to see pics before believing the handcuffed on to the plan bit anyway............

just goes to show where the priorities here lie, making face and picking on a few petty foreign crims that have done their time, while many other worse crimes are taking place with nothing being done, including a lot with by male Thai teachers................

Sorry Aussiestyle don't have pics only what the guys told me. Release date the imm picked them up took them back to imm jail waiting deportation and had to sit there for another 4 days and the other 6 days till the paper work was sorted out and tickets etc from the embassys( mind you they only had 3 month to do this ). Imm took them to the airport with pp straight onto the plane. Not a nice impression to the rest of the passengers.

sad to hear. they made them look like murderers.................

im sure there have been cases here of murderes here and rapests getting to walk away free without even getting to spen time in the bars. and the fact that these guys got treated like this because they did what the school told them to do, thats just fcuked up. I work for a decent school ,but knowing how Thais and the system here works, I dont trust them one bit. anyway, i have a big plan for my school comming up and ill let ya'll know how it goes when it has been completed..................

If a school told anyone here to go and get a fake degree, would you do it? It takes two willing parties to do such a thing. I never considered it in the past when it was thought to be ok, and I'd never do it now. There were lots of teachers with no degrees who paid their dues by running back and forth across the borders and were unwilling to get fake degrees.
