webfact
Koh Larn: Some restrictions eased to enable residents to get back to normal Picture: Sophon Cable TV Sophon Cable TV on Facebook reported that the authorities on Koh Larn were easing some of the restrictions placed on the island from 5th January until today. The easing will mean that residents in particular will be able to get back to travelling more normally. All resorts on the holiday island were ordered shut and extra travel restrictions were put in place with outsiders needing a local guarantor before entering. Resorts can now open but few are expected to do so due to tourism still being severely limited principally because of travel restrictions still in place in Chonburi province. But from tomorrow to the end of the month it will be easier for those doing business on the island and residents to cross over subject to health screening on both the Pattaya and Koh Lan sides and Thai Chana, Mo Chana and ID protocols being followed at Bali Hai. Leaver
Mixed messages. Allowing travel in one place, while closing travel down in a nearby place. I think the authorities may be caving to the complaints of the locals. If so, not a wise decision.
