Not literally - now he is taking a keen personal interest in why it always floods when it rains in Pattaya. Prawit is one of PM Prayut Chan-o-cha's right hand honchos who was famously embroiled in a case about expensive watches a few years back. Now he is overseeing a committee looking at Thailand's biggest infrastructure projects. Pattaya's drainage is one of those with a three stage plan underway. Prawit asked for the latest news ahead of the next commitee meeting to be held at the end of June, reported Thai Rath. The plan to solve Pattaya's water woes involves tunnels, klong development and drainage pipes. Clean the rivers, brook, ditches so that the water can go away .. also everyone wants to get rid of the electricity cables so start digging .. work enough. MasterBaker Posted June 13, 2021 Share Posted June 13, 2021 i lived for 15 years in Pattaya near Parraya Tai and Sukhumvit, this place is flooded as soon as it rains for 30 min, my house was flooded twice. This area is below the sea level, unless you pump water out, nothing will work. They cannot drain water from beach road, what are you talking about other areas?
