JDJD
I was in Pattaya for my second visit ever, in September 2020. Yes, it was a ghost town. Stayed for under 24 hours. I do remember there were 2-3 massage shops on a street perpendicular to Beach Road that had 1 hour Thai massage for ฿100. I skipped the massage but my 2 friends, a guy and girl both adventured inside and confirmed later that day they were indeed ฿100 for 1 hour Thai massage. Maybe it was a COVID special? Does anyone have any idea if there are such deals out there still? No need for extras, thanks! Just the massage will do. I appreciate it! Popular Post saakura
That is truly terrible, paying 100 baht for an hour getting massaged. 2 2 1

I lived in Tak Province and 100 baht an hour was and actually still is the price for a massage at the temple... Picture a big room w/mats on the floor and all masseuses well trained... there was a section w/chairs for foot massage and more recently a glassed in section w/air that raised the price to 120 baht... I always tipped 100 baht though Thai rarely tip... And private massage storefronts were 200 baht... per hour... which they still are in most of Chiang Mai... 6
Popular Post JDJD
If I pay ฿300, the wealthy shop owner takes ฿200 and gives ฿100 to the masseuse. If I pay ฿100 and tip ฿100 the masseuse makes out like a bandit. Works well for me my friend. 8 1
Popular Post bkk6060
On Soi Buakhao near Pattaya Klang several shops 100 b. Has been that price for a few years. Edited June 17, 2021 by bkk6060 7
internationalism
on jomtien 10h for 1500b. but they refused the second time when I went there, just before the 3rd wave. Others refused any discounts for bulk order, minimum 200/h

Popular Post Ventenio
From Pattaya city, head directly East for 15 km. 20 baht massages, really!!! forget those haters.....If I see a massage sign for 300 baht I say, "50 baht, OK?" if they say, "No," I smile and ask, "51 baht, you OK?" At 299, I'll walk away and come back 10-minutes later. 100 baht is exploitation, plain and simple. should be a labor violation. yea, before I was joking, you should be ashamed. 100 plus 100 tip at the very minimum. 100 plus 200 tip for a normal person for one hour. 300 is fair, IMO.

A shop owner in Pattaya who charges 100 baht an hour will then be keeping say 70 baht and giving 30 baht to the girl? Neither of them are going to be wealthy. 3

And then the shop owner who pays the rent, the electricity and basic wage has to close up shop... the masseuse has nowhere to work.... It amazes me how cheap people justify being cheap.... 5 1

JDJD
And in the end my legs and back feel much better. On a side note, the 10 or so massages I've had in Pattaya Jomtien have ranged from $200-300. Depending on the masseuses attention to my requests ie: this part of my back, this area of my neck, I typically tip 40-80. My tip does depend on the full price of the massage including tip. It's what I've got. Maybe I should consider skipping the relief if the only moral thing to do is to pay ฿375+ tip out the door.
bkk6060
I always leave at least 100 b tip for massages. It amazes me how many people leave nothing I have seen it many times. Mostly it seems Falang females don't tip or maybe give 20 b.
Popular Post scubascuba3
Many shops at the Klang end of Buakhao charge 100 baht, also if you turn right into Klang many more shops charging 80-100 baht. There is also no difference between an 80 baht massage and a 300 baht one, it all depends on the lady 4

WhiteBuffaloATM
tourist area regular thai massage 1 hour 300baht now often reduced to 150baht. tipping not part of east asian culture (western import). have still tipped for exceptional / home service, but thats rare...... the price is the price; if its 100baht that the shop choice; if sub-std service go elsewhere until satisfied.
