It weighs about 700 grams and he reckons it is worth 100,000 baht a carat meaning about 350 million baht.

I reckon its worth 150,00 baht a carat, so at 700 grams it comes to 894,488,342 baht and 75 satang.

He wouldn't mind selling it but caveat emptor: anyone buying the gem might get a dose of bad luck

Yeah, it's only worth a fiver?

ASEAN Now notes that it has been noted in the past that Thais can display superstitious tendencies.

That has to be the understatement of the century! :cheesy:

Why does this sort of garbage take up bandwidth?

Would have thought the TV rebranding would have introduced some sort of better news editing.

My G/F ( well one of them anyway) firmly believes that I have been sent to the Earth as a cross between Mighty Thor and  Superman, at least that's what she tells me and of course, I believe everything she tells me; about me.

When Somsak tried to make peace with the stone by lighting joss sticks they didn't work properly further fuelling suggestions that mysterious forces are at work.

Mysterious forces...

Yup, humidity.

I think this guy is dreaming. Has the figure correct 350 baht not the millions on the end 🤔

There is no way some one. Superstitious Thai or not if it was worth anything would have sold it

True enough, but even puppies get tiresome after a while. I have a 4month old right now that's driving me up the wall.

I grew these crystals from copper sulfate powder in about two weeks. Longer makes larger. Soak them in water and they disappear like MAGIC!
