I got my second Pfizer shot on 7/27, and I'm planning to get a third before my return to Thailand three weeks from now. Upon the recommendation of a family member who is also an M.D. and an infectious disease/virology specialist, I plan to go to a local pharmacy and present myself as though I were getting my first dose. Your options would probably depend on what country you're in.

Not sure where the OP is posting from but I too am looking for a 3rd booster after 2 Sinovac here in Thailand. It's been promised on numerous occasions but has so far failed to materialize. The hospital where I got the 2 Sinovac say they have no supplies of a booster, AstraZaneca or Pfizer or anything else. Seems like I and quite a few others have been mugged.

I got 2 shots of Sinovac at Pattaya City Hospital, the second July 5.  Registered with pink card and Mor Phrom app (well, Thai partner did).   Got booster AZ a couple weeks ago at a school in Naklua near the government center.  Partner got a message from the app.  I think they are doing the boosters by date--earliest with the first 2 shots going first.  Maybe keep checking with your hospital.

I have had two doses of Pfizer thanks to the USA.

In June previously to the USA coming to our assistance with Pfizer, I paid for two doses of Moderna through Bangkok Hospital and am now looking at using that as a booster in the 1st or 2nd quarter of next year as they say boosters are ok from 5-8-12 months after your 2nd dose, i.e. unless you are immunocompromised or are over 65 and or have underlying conditions that put you in the higher risk category, if that's the case I believe from 28 days, otherwise your B & T cells should be able to handle the infection.

Yesterday I received an email from the Bangkok Hospital asking me to confirm receipt of Moderna so I could be put into the cue which goes on the date you paid for it, so you have to enter your receipt number. My wife completed hers and she is in the 13,000's nationwide out of 31,500 recipients.

I am delaying this for the time being so as to push the vaccine into the period that it suits me for a booster, that said, I would imagine that there would be a lot of expats who have had 2 doses of Pfizer and won't be requiring their Moderna vaccines that they paid for, which is transferable, but not refundable, perhaps word of mouth and 3,300 baht later will get you what your looking for, however best to confirm with the hospital as to the procedure so that you can receive the right advice.

Outside of this, I couldn't say where you might be able to get a booster, personally I wouldn't be relying on anyone outside of the private hospitals.

Thanks. I got mine at Phayathai 2 in Bangkok via the thaiintervac site, or whatever it was called back in May/June. I've been asking about a booster for weeks but they just say we'll notify you. Looks like the public hospitals have the jump on the private ones. Seems what goes around....

I also booked a Moderna with Bangpakok hospitals way back, but no sign of that either. And no notification. Rang them September and they said October. Hello hello? I don't know why they say goodbye, I say hello!

Both me and the wife got fully vaccinated back in the US last April.with Pfizer.  We are here now and approaching the time that we would need a booster.

we are in Khon Kaen.

At the Private hospitals Can someone order just one shot?

If we order two shots, Can I take one and my wife take the other"

If our vaccination was Pfizer, can our booster be Moderna?

According to the FDA, it is OK to mix and match the vaccines, so if you can't get Pfizer, Moderna will be fine.

Approach your District Public Health Department.  They will likely be very helpful.

Or go private - Moderna I think (although it's the only one that gives me the jitters).

I got my Sinovac at a private hospital in June/July and I booked a Moderna back in July. My experience with public hospitals has been utterly negative.

Update!

I just got an AstraZaneca booster from the stadium walk in Vax centre in Pattaya. I'd previously had 2 Sinovac from Phayathai 2 who failed dismally to come up with a 3rd booster. Went to the stadium not knowing jack about whether I'd get one. Got there about 8am. Very busy but took a seat where indicated and waited about 30 mins before entering stadium. No checks outside at all. Given a piece of paper with a number on it on entering.

Sat in the spectators seats well spaced apart. Another 30 minutes and we filed down to the registration and jab area. Most Thais had a piece of paper and just went straight to the jab queue. I had to register. I used my jab certificate. It was all being organised by Banglamung hospital. Just have to fill out consent form and questionnaire re medical history and sign.

Then get in pre-jab queue. 5 minutes to seated. Then hand in consent form and passport. Next stop jab. All done. Wait 30 minutes and good to go.

Just want to give a huge thanks to Thai people for finally getting this moving along. Always friendly and helpful on this occasion. Couldn't ask for more. Considering the numbers of people, maybe several thousand, hats off!
