Seems something is a miss when it’s cheaper to eat Pork than Broccoli & Cauliflower exactly double the price of the UK at the moment. It’s no surprise to see lifestyle diseases creeping up when it’s cheaper to eat the processed meats on the side of the road. Free delivery over 3k. My way of surviving is going directly to makro and searching for discounted vegetables corner, with short expiry, usually 50%, sometimes less. If not much there, I would top up with catering size bags. Same with discounted shelves between dairy, fish and meat sections. Saw a big load of cabbages bound to the Dalart Thai ,wholesale market near Rangsit ,come from flooded Petchaboon ,they will be expensive. Apart from Broccoli and Cauliflower, the same weight of Peperoni (Bell Peppers, Capsicum) are 139 Baht - all in Makro. The slugs and snails happily munch their way through it overnight, the price isn't an issue as far as they are concerned. When I can be bothered I go out with a torch at night and set about collecting them. On average I can collect about 500 of the bu##ers a night.
