Bangkok – The Thai government is seriously investigating a reported case of millions of second-hand nitrile gloves that were reportedly shipped from Thailand to the US, Deputy Prime Minister stated today, October 25th.

Jurin Laksanawisit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce revealed to the press after the cabinet meeting today, October 25th, regarding a CNN recent investigation report of tens of millions of used medical gloves imported into the United States which could have been operated from Thailand.

Initially the investigation will need to see who is involved before any further action is undertaken.

Can't go stepping on the wrong people's toes.

A show of concern from Thai Gov because of bad publicity, but nothing will change; corruption is hard-wired into the Thai psyche. It starts with the local police and extends outwards and upwards.

Slight correction; it starts at the very top of Thai High Society and works its way down through every level of the Community.  If you want to kill the evil creature you have to cut off its head !

So when are the used condoms due?

Guess these thai export figures require some adjustment?

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore."

Nothing there about used gloves.

Thais would never admit to doing this.  It must be the Burmese, Laotians or Cambodians illegally working in Thailand.

Actually the report and other articles point to a Hong Kong registered guy.

The one they tried to kidnap to get their money backit has little to do with face and everything to do with a fear of all Thai PPE makers getting blacklisted and banned from internationalarkets.

Heads will roll as they have to show the world they can be trusted

The CNN article already has Thai officials in damage limitation mode and blaming migrant laborers.

There are many Thai registered companies involved in this, and they have to be majority Thai owned.

There's a whole local industry doing this. Waken up.

I'm pretty okay with whatever consenting adults choose to do as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. But, who buys used medical gloves. And, why?

Those companies recycling the gloves were possibly paid to dispose of medical waste and saw an opportunity for extra profit.

Who buys used medical gloves?

People who know they can sell them on.

Why?

Cash.

he further stated:

We have also set up a committee to determine why no one in the government thought of this idea to line their own pockets, thus leaving it for non-government criminals to cash in on"

"who buys used medical gloves. And, why?"  the people who are currently processing them to be resold as new stock.

correct, this would be a 100% Thai operation, and they will be screwing the foreign labour force as usual.

From butt to mouth?

Gloves used for Colonoscopy in Thailand and then maybe shipped to a dentist in US.

On a more serious note, it could be lethal if contaminated gloves are used elsewhere ,

so hopefully ther ones responsible will see the inside of a prison.
