If the British father is shown on the birth certificate there should be no problem if the child was born quite recently. The law changed a year or so ago allowing fathers not married to pass on their British nationality to the child. You will need your full birth certificate and passport. Mother will need full birth certificate, ID card and tabian baan. Child will need Thai birth certificate. The British Embassy will issue a British birth certificate. If the Child was born before the law changed (You will have to check on the actual date) you can still do it, but it has to go back to the UK for a decision to be made. Could take about 9 months to a year.

I Just Registered My Baby Girl Who Was Born Last Week Got Her Birth Certificate Within 20 Mins All The Process Went Well No Problems, Now In The Process Of Getting her Registered for the Uk. So hopefully that will go smoothly just like the thai side.

Also She Will Remain Dual Until She Is 20 Years Of Age Then She Will Have To Make A Decision, Thai Or Farang Cant Have Both After That. So As They All Say In Thailand (UP TO HER) To Make Her Own decision Hope This Is HelpFull To You.

And The Scouses Info Is Great Print It Out And Keep It And When You Start The Process You Have Something To Work From Good Luck.

she won't have to make a choice at 20. The law as it stands today, from the Thai side, states that at age 20 the child has one year to make an application to forefiet their thai citizenship - if they want to.

There is not compulsion to do so, only that there is a window between ages 20 and 21 to do so.
