Covid-19, health, trade, education, and culture will be discussed by heads of state.

At the 18th ASEAN-India Summit on Thursday in Brunei, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will evaluate the status of the ASEAN-India Strategic Partnership and assess progress made in important sectors such as Covid-19 and health, trade, education, and culture.

According to an official announcement made by the Ministry of External Affairs, the Summit will be attended by the Heads of State/Government of the 10 ASEAN countries.

The statement claimed, "Important regional and worldwide issues, especially post-pandemic economic recovery, will also be covered."

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said during the India-ASEAN business conference earlier this month that India's ties with ASEAN have developed through time, with connectivity and security being the most recent additions to the areas of engagement.

Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam are all members of ASEAN.

Annual ASEAN-India summits give a chance for India and ASEAN to engage in high-level political dialogue.
