In order to minimize the risk in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic, golf tourism facilities in Indonesia are required to implement guideline based on CHSE (cleanliness, health, safety, and sustainable environment) issued by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia.

Furthermore, The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy also conducts CHSE certification for golf courses in Indonesia.

This CHSE certification is a national accreditation that indicate golf coursed who have been certified have met and implemented strict health protocols for clean, healthy, safe, and environmentally friendly tourism services amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The objective of this CHSE certification is also to boost confidence for tourists on Indonesia’s tourism products and services.

The certification process, which has been running since the end of 2020, is carried out by auditors from an independent certification agency appointed by the government.

Golf courses that apply for certification are assessed by a team of auditors in the implementation of the CHSE health protocol at their facility.

Those who are granted the CHSE certification of the Golf Tourism Business get the “Certified CHSE” label (valid for one year) from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. As per September 2021, 43 Golf Businesses throughout Indonesia have been certified.

After the certificate is obtained, golf course must still maintain cleanliness, health, safety, and environmental sustainability, which refers to the CHSE implementation guidelines.

The implementation of a certified golf facility is monitored and continuously evaluated so that the safety and services for tourists are guaranteed.
