Popular Post webfact
By Tanakorn Sangiam BANGKOK (NNT) - The legalization of hemp in Thailand has created new business opportunities for farmers and companies, who have formed a trade association for hemp products in the country. The association has kicked off its new campaign with an exhibition in Bangkok, aiming to promote the hemp plant as Thailand’s new economic plant. The Thai Industrial Hemp Trade Association (TIHTA) kicked off the Thailand Cann D-Day 2021 event, featuring products in the food and beverage category, as well as health and beauty products. The event also features an exhibition on the health benefits of hemp and sessions for business negotiations. TIHTA President Pornchai Padmindra said this event marks a crucial step towards the promotion of hemp as Thailand’s new economic plant and the positioning of Thailand as Asia’s hemp production and trade hub. He said the association is now taking care of hemp production from the first stem, by allowing farmers to gain reasonable profits through pricing regulation. The association also supports the research and development of hemp strands, which will benefit hemp extractors, as well as supporting hemp processing for various industries including textile, chemicals, and construction. Thailand Cann D-Day 2021 is now taking place at the EmQuartier shopping center in Bangkok until 21 November. The association is planning to hold Thailand International Hemp Forum & Expo in late-2022 to demonstrate Thailand’s capacity and preparedness to become an industrial hemp hub. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-11-19 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates
Popular Post RubbaJohnny
Good to read the real dope on a nation already gone to pot. Perhaps they should "canvas " opinion and sail to cloud 9. How tragic Uncle Sam's failed war on drugs has brought.. Meth, yabba and all kinds of crime like the cartels. This a land in a land once a leader in natural organic plants used for milenia in moderation for healing awash in marijuana and the world famous Golden Triangle that could produce opium such that people can imagine they live in the best of all flooded sewers. Of course prohibition ensures "general" profitibilty 4

What about the buds that are left over then ? That is the best part of it . I guess these are going to be ' burned ' ?

Popular Post CLW
A show in its true meaning. Hardly any small farmers can profit under the current rules and regulations for only hemp, not to mention cannabis. The setup of community enterprises is just a front for rich business man to invest. All just a fake theatre and the health minister plays the director...

Hemp used to be used extensively for such things as ropes and fabrics. Then it was discovered that it made very good and cheap paper. This upset one Mr Randolph Hearst, who had a monopoly on the supply of newsprint in the US. With some good lobbying he convinced the government that it should be illegal and pointed at Mexicans use for fun, which had to be stopped. A lot of countries are still living under this illusion as it suits their cotton and paper industries to keep their prices up. Hemp is far better for the environment too, compared to cotton, as it does not require vast quantities of water to survive. But don't let science get in the way of a good profit...
