UK frozen pension returning to UK and going overseas again at a later date!
Nonsense......note the term "IMMEDIATELY entitled" 5 Doctors, dentists, and hospital treatment In the UK, NHS emergency care and primary care provided by GPs is free for all. Secondary care and the provision of free NHS nonemergency hospital treatment is based on being ‘ordinarily resident’ in the UK. It is not affected by your nationality, whether you pay UK taxes or NI contributions or own a property, nor being registered with a GP or having an NHS number. If you are a UK national, you have automatic right of abode in the UK. If you have been living abroad, you pass the ordinarily resident test on resuming settled residence here and are immediately entitled to free NHS non-emergency hospital care . https://www.ageuk.org.uk/globalassets/age-uk/documents/factsheets/fs25_returning_from_abroad_fcs.pdf -

Thai Baht is ruining my retirement
Agree.. .But you did it when you were young 🙂 I did it 1st time at 40 (got bored) 2nd time at 46 (Very happy retired but a mate wanted me to help out on a project in Singapore... I'd lived there for the previous 6 years & loved the place so I did another 7 years). 3rd time... (53) I walked... At 40 I had a final salary pension that would give me a life that I I felt I could be "Comfortable" with. My point was that other guys might not be so lucky. -

Major Conservative Poll Cited by Media Secretly Worked With Trump Team
A major polling organization is reportedly giving Donald Trump’s campaign previews of its results before the public sees them. 'On Thursday, American Muckrakers posted about emails it received detailing how the conservative-leaning Rasmussen Reports, which claims to be nonpartisan, shared polling results with Trump advisers and campaign officials like Dan Scavino, Susie Wiles, and John McLaughlin. The advisers, Rasmussen, and the nonprofit organizations that pay it for polling are violating tax and election laws, according to American Muckrakers.' -

White Culture
Maybe you are correct with those averages, but does it matter? There are lots of high IQ and low IQ in any race and country. Same for athletic and other differences. Culture is something different. When I talk to someone who grew up in the same area and with the same language where I grew up, they we will able to understand each other better compared to someone who grew up in a different culture, far away. And that is independent of IQ, etc. -

Close Call: Footage Captures Car Passing Over Collapsing Road in Phayao
It makes you wonder how stable other roads are built in these mountainous areas. That's subsidence due to rain fall, that should be considered when building the road foundations. -

Is this viable for 6 months stay in Thailand
I agree with your conclusion, but ... Although working-illegally is a legal-reason to deny entry, the IOs almost always "rejection stamp" that the person entering did not have the money to afford their stay - even when their travel history makes that a ridiculous assumption, and even if they have the required 20K Baht in cash. Those rejected report the IO told them they come/stay "too much/long" in Thailand - which is not a legal reason to deny entry. Upon their passport being returned to them, they find the "didn't have money" stamp was used to cover-up the crime committed. -

Thai tax riddle: Elite Visa holders off the hook?
Thailand being Thailand. There is no logic in what they do. No one has any idea what they would do. Not you, not me, not them. Who thought that they would introduce the DTV ? exemption scheme from 30 to 60 days ? More countries exempt ? Anyone in their right mind would get the DTV right now. They could clamp it down as it's way too easy to get it. But who knows, thailand being thailand. There is no logic. -

Is this viable for 6 months stay in Thailand
How many of those 3-M are here 6-mo per-year? Why are you talking about scenarios with no relation to the OP? Every entry may be legally-prevented by immigration if the entrant is in violation of one of the specified reasons permitted to deny entry. Immigration do not follow that law, because that would limit how many people they can force into their "pay for safe-entry" extortion racket (at both Bangkok airports), hence the problem.
