While Malaysia and Singapore have agreed to open their land borders, negotiations with the governments of Thailand, Brunei, and Indonesia on land travel have yet to be completed.

Malaysia and Thailand have only agreed to allow passage from the Bukit Kayu Hitam-Sadao and Wang Kelian-Wang Prachan borders in Kedah and Perlis, according to Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

"At this time, just these two borders will be reopened from April 1," says the statement.
The Thai government is currently only prepared to accommodate tourists.

"Talks between the two countries for daily and frequent commuters are still ongoing.

At a news conference in Parliament, Khairy stated, "For the time being, the usual protocols for passengers entering Malaysia will apply to those travelling from Thailand."

Brunei and Indonesia, which share land borders with Malaysia, have yet to reach an agreement on land travel, according to Khairy.

"We have already submitted our recommended standards for travellers entering Malaysia," said the group.
They're still investigating.

"Whatever decision is made, it must be reciprocal," Khairy remarked.

Malaysia and Singapore have declared that beginning April 1, all types of travellers and modes of transportation would be permitted to travel between the two nations by land.

When crossing borders, those who are completely vaccinated will not be subjected to quarantine or Covid-19 testing.
