I'm opening one or more sandwich shops in Pattaya and Bangkok - the target demographic will be American, British and Aussie travellers and expats.

I'm still in the planning phase although have already acquired the property and most of the equipment, I just need to get the name sorted next week to get things moving (I have a dormant company ready to go, just need to change the name).

There are a few names in the poll that I think would work well but would love other ideas - the only thing is that it needs to have the word "Sandwich" in it to help with Grab and Google search.

The funnier the better - anything goes.

Many thanks in advance.

Bothe good but they need the word Sandwhich in it, Eat Me is also big restaurant in Bangkok.

Sandwich station got my, and all others votes. Good choice out of those listed.

Without knowing anything about the product or the operation?

And you need a name that ties into a nice logo

He would call anything in the negative.

Back To Sandwiches (BTS).  Then design a logo that is similar to the BTS logo but made of bread and lettuce, or whatever.

⁷Sandwich Underground - as in London underground/subway.

Yeah I like that, thanks.

I was thinking of the London Underground Logo as well as it catches the eye of Brits when they see it, I think (it does mine anyway).

Not sure about the underground bit though, hard to make that into something relevant unless were going to do more niche stuff - the plan is to do mostly the classics.

"Simply Sandwiches"

Yeah, that's a good one, thanks.

When choosing a name for your sandwich shop, it's important to think about its Google searchability. Using clear, recognizable terms like “sandwich” ensures your business can easily be found. Here’s how each name option stacks up in terms of search optimization:

  1. Le Sandwich – It’s short, simple, and directly relates to what you’re selling, so it’s highly searchable. Adding the French flair can make it more appealing to a Western audience, and “sandwich” will help you show up in relevant searches.

  2. The Big Sandwich – This name is straightforward and easy to search, with the added benefit of "big" suggesting a satisfying meal. People searching for large or hearty sandwiches will likely find your shop.

  3. Sando Central – “Sando” is a trendy abbreviation of “sandwich,” and while it’s gaining popularity, it’s still niche enough to make your shop stand out. The word “central” suggests a go-to spot, making it appealing for both locals and tourists looking for sandwich shops.

  4. Sandwich Street – A fun, approachable name that’s highly searchable, especially for people looking for a variety of sandwich options. It’s clear, direct, and easy to remember, which is a great advantage for search visibility.

  5. Baguette Me Up – While the pun adds fun and personality, it might be a bit more niche in terms of searchability. Still, it combines baguette (a key search term) with a catchy twist, which could attract curious customers, especially those searching for unique or themed eateries.

For best results, you’ll want a name that blends both the fun factor with something clear and searchable.

Baguette Me Up

Sounds like a sexual perversion to me.  But maybe that's just me.

I want more than 5 choices and names for my wife’s somtom shop.

How about the quality.

The Best Sandwich(es) might work.

Or Cheap Charlie Sandwich for other people.

Recently I was in another country nearby. I really like good espresso, I don't care too much about the price.

When I entered coffee in the google search there were many options. Then I entered barista and I found only few, and I visited one of them and it was very good.

If you plan something especially good, then I would look for a more special word.

For anybody who want to learn more about marketing or just read about good ideas I can highly recommend this boo.

Rory Sutherland is also in many YouTube videos. I like to watch him and learn from him.

The idea initially involved putting "Sandwich" where the station name would go on the cross bar; defeated my photo manipulation skills!

So, dude! I fixed it for you. No need to thank me.

Good idea having a sandwich and baguette shop and having Sandwich in the name makes perfect sense to me.

Hopefully it's a good location like Buakhao, definite gap in the market, make sure you get the pricing right
