A fire broke out at “Suki Sri Phrai,” a renowned sukiyaki restaurant in Nakhon Nayok, causing extensive damage estimated at over 80% of the premises. Firefighters deployed more than ten fire trucks and took over an hour to bring the blaze under control.

The incident occurred on November 21 in Moo 3, Ko Wai Subdistrict, Pak Phli District. Local authorities and multiple agencies responded to the fire, which engulfed the second floor of the two-story building where the restaurant operated. Despite the severity of the fire, no injuries were reported.

The restaurant, a local landmark with a history of over 50 years, suffered extensive damage, with its second floor almost entirely destroyed. The cause of the fire is not yet confirmed but is suspected to be an electrical short circuit.

Mr. Charoen Kraisonbantit, 84, the owner of Suki Sri Phrai, shared his account of the event. “I was sitting outside with my family when we heard a crackling sound. Moments later, we saw sparks near a pillar inside the house, and the flames spread rapidly. The wooden structure upstairs fueled the fire,” he explained.

Authorities have begun an investigation, and forensic teams will examine the site to determine the exact cause. The extent of the financial loss is still under assessment.
