No   In a way I still feel young. But there are many signs that I am not so young anymore. That's life.

I was trying to shake-off a very persistent Flilpina online.  I lied and told her I was 93.

"That's OK, age is just a number."

You should have told her you are 97 and sick. She would have married you the next day. 😉

I think someone recently asked Clint Eastwood how he stayed so active;  He said "Don't let the old man in."

The minute you start thinking that you're "old," you are.

Age is just a number until you start getting injuries and health conditions

He should have added that he was very rich with no dependants!

Age is just a number, but with age comes certain changes that you cannot ignore.

You might think that a old person can date a young person, because age is just a number, sure, but you cannot ignore the fact that you're going to become elderly, decrepit and die, long before she does.  Not that that's necessarily a problem, as long as you're both OK with that.

About a week ago, I was in the bar &  a very handsome sexy young guy asked me ...  how old are you ?

I replied ...   I can be any age you want me to be

You stop thinking about it, also helps if your partner is half your age...

No I don't.

But Thai ladies I date do; When I confess I lied being 5 yrs younger they say "But you look 5 yrs younger!"

Me, "Of what? My real age or fake one?"

Lady; " Both!"

Only in Thailand 🙂

No, your body starts to get in in a worse state.

"How old are you?"

"I'm older than my teeth and younger than my tongue"

He should of told them his name was Scottie long pockets!

Age is just a number represents a good attitude.

Believing it represents delusional thinking.

Well it is just a number, but you're right believing 70 means you are the same as when you are 20, 30, 40 or 50 is delusional.

Biology has a cruel way of wreaking havoc, and you might be able to mitigate things with exercise and diet, but don't delude yourself your body is what it was.

I think women are a lot more realistic about it.

They go through menopause which is a real defining moment in their lives.

Men try to deny aging because there isn't that cliff edge event, it's more a gradual decline

I am 72 and have no idea that I am old. When I say I am getting old, people laugh and say I am old! I might be, but according to my health and strength, I am really not compared to others I see at the same age nearly ready to go under at any time! 😁 I am still touring Thailand on my bikes, 3 times a week at the gym and is walking in the mountains back home when I am there for the summer! Cannot remember the last time I was sick! Never had the flue and never use any medicine. That is what I call "not very old"!!😂

I think she might have noticed that he was not a Scottish terrier dog and she may also have known that dogs do not have kilts.  It should also be noted that, if you were referring to me,  as you always accuse me of wearing a kilt, that kilts have no pockets either long or short  and that nothing is worn under the kilt as it is all in perfect working order!

PS; It should be further noted that if you look up the word Scottie" in a dictionary and connect that to my avatar that I am NOT representing myself as a Sottish person!

hopefully if you in their 40-60 period began thiinking about their future, they should have entertained eating healthy foods, avoiding smoking and alcohol, plus if not already doing so exerecising regularly then at least the 70-90 period could likely be healthy enough for one to continue without major disease.  Now if you notice or not there is reportable infomration about prevention of disease through healthy foods and exercise and that info is showing up in many areas but especially in various public media.  Avoid sugary drinks and foods, eat lots of fruits and veggies, and do a daily walk is really all that is necessary once one cuts out smoking and drinking.  Good luck and good health.

Age is not related to anything.
I'm middle aged, great genes, take care of myself, eat vegetables and lots of fruit, sleep well, exercise daily.
I'm often with people similar age, obese, using walking frames, negative, pathetic people, disrespecting themselves and others around them.

Aged 83 the only normal activity I have given up is driving because I felt my reaction time was declining. All else as usual but at a slower pace.

Correction. "I am as old as my tongue and a little older than my teeth."

My tongue has often made mistakes, and now my teeth are like stars.

Yes. I am 80 and have no hang-ups about my age. Fit and healthy, not rich, good life, careful and reasonably happy - and a non-worrier.

The same applied at 30, 40, 50, 60 & 70. I've possibly 20 more years left, at least 5 of them, hopefully as I am now; my remaining lifespan - just wait and see. It will arrive soon enough without me worrying about it.

Yes, just a number.  And, I don't let my number stop me from doing what I want to do, what I like to do, if I am able to do it.
