Would be a good idea to have 'locks' on the seatbelts controlled by the Pilot whenever the sign is on.

Or a big red light above any pax who ignores the light.

Yup you thought that one through well.....   electrical failure... fire on board... :whistling:

I like the 'big red light' idea though...  shame the 't!t heads' who think the rules don't apply to them....

So... on the subject of air-travel, standing up before the seatbelt sign has turned off... People in a rush to 'deplane'....  etc.   What about those who stand so closely to the baggage

You cant wait another 3 minutes for them to get the cabin doors open ?

Stand up get bag get off plane go to toilet. Why sit down?

Why complain about nothing problems?

There are so many duplicate back-up systems on aircraft, that this could be overcome.

Nope... maybe confirmation bias etc...

Flights around the Middle East are a nightmare for the 'post landing circus'...

Meanwhile flights to and from Japan are the epitome of 'civilised calm' in comparison...

Flights within Europe are also pretty resonable...

I think in some area's...   (routes) there are a number of people who's cultural psyche means they operate under the 'FOMO mentality' (fear of missing out)... so everyone cause everyone else to stand up and people fear they'll get stuck unable to get off the plane, or be delayed somehow, consequently it turns into an uncivilised ruck.

My bad. I should have thought about the Middle East. How remiss of me. I was thinking about my flights in Thailand. Not sure why. Maybe because I'm in Thailand and not Saudi Arabia.

So sleep 'the whole flight' and then stand up on landing, waiting for doors to open and pax before you to go out of the one door available.

Yeah when it lands I stand up, B class typically disembarks before the pigs down the back.

whats the issue ?

I am usually last off an aircraft. I keep my seat, and read a book. I rescue my carry-on backpack from the overhead locker when the crowd in the aisle has thinned out, and sit down again.

I am going to have to wait at the baggage carousel for my hold luggage, so what's the point of rushing?

I stand up... not stampede to the closed door.

I am one of those you call PIGS, thank you.

And be last in the line at Immigration!

Why don't you wait another few minutes until the cabin doors open and people begin to disembark .

Its rather unpleasant to be sat in your seat with someone's arse a few inches from your face

Don't rise to the bait of the halfwits and tools...

Some of us are not as privileged as you, and have to pay for flights ourselves.

I normally sit until most others are through the gate. Until now the plane never left without me. Somehow most passengers haven't worked out that part.

and the last ones in are lucky if they have room in their overhead for any luggage

His next response...

... He takes his merry time getting out of his seat, getting his hand carry.... walking slowly off the plane....

.... Just so he can make the 'pigs in the back' can wait a little longer....

When open insults are posted, I need to reply.

No worries, I do not mix with B Classers.

Some of the passengers will be local and wont be going through immigration, some of the passengers will be getting connecting flights and wont be going through immigration .

But if you do rush and get through immigration first , that means that you just have to wait longer at baggage reclaim

Its actually a bigger issue on domestic flights with budget carriers....

The budget airlines have created a horrible situation whereby every tries to carry on their luggage instead of checking it in...  which leads to heavily congested boarding processes, overloaded luggage bins and slower boarding and disembarkation....

... Its sure more dangerous to have far more 'luggage overhead' too....

It should be mandatory that 'any luggage' (within limits) is free to checkin with the ticket.

The airline industry is taking the wrong path with its luggage policies IMO - its making flying a lot worse, more hassle and more dangerous IMO.

No, he is a Business Class tool.

Getting off the plane is one thing, and in Thailand it's a minor issue not worth mentioning.  Boarding and sitting in your assigned seat is rather more irritating, again not normally in Thailand but in some nearby (look West) countries the concept of sitting in your own seat is disregarded.

Especially when a lot of that overhead baggage is highly inflammable alcohol.

Many people on this forum fly business class....  they just don't feel the need to 'brag about it' on a forum, unlike like some weak-minded individuals who think it gives them some form of kudos etc...

No worry I am usually first off either in Bus. class or the front of domestic flights.

no brag here... I too thought everyone was in B class.... hence my confusion to the OP's post.

Many don't have luggage to wait for. Never thought of that?

Its a valid point....  lots of flammable liquor in the overhead compartments....  but there have never been any stories of that being an issue.... it just makes somewhat of a mockery of the 100ml liquid limit...

... Though, those 100ml liquid limits are for 'other liquids' if when mixed make 'nasty concoctions'...

A friend and I got into serious trouble in Chemistry when being trusted with the keys to the lab and coming up with some rather explosive mixtures in relatively small amounts...

True... but it's still no need for the 'ruck and maul' to rush off the plan with complete disregard for anyone else.... neither there any need for people to stand up before the seatbelt sign is off and the plane might still need to be moved.
