Trust me....  it takes no nerves or brain power to respond to you...   a 5 year old can counter your stupidity when you start trolling and trying to derail threads like this....

Oh dear, it hurts obviously. Calm down. Not good in your age 🤗

On the way into the plane, it's similar. As soon as the airline employees come to the gate, people stand up and wait in a row. The row is getting longer and longer, and people wait and wait. What

So... on the subject of air-travel, standing up before the seatbelt sign has turned off... People in a rush to 'deplane'....  etc.   What about those who stand so closely to the baggage

I like to get on the flight early so I can get my glass of champagne! 😊

I prefer my champagne in the lounge before boarding. 😉

On a recent flight (internal Middle East flight) -

Speaking of flights into the Middle East, and slightly off topic, I was up in business this particular day (Qatar Air from Manchester UK) and immediately upon the wheels hitting the ground (Doha), with the plane doing whatever speed they land at, 3 young, single Muslim guys instantly jumped out of their seats, went over to RH side of the plane and began praying on their hand and knees. This happened no more than 2 metres away from seated and buckled cabin crew - who did nothing (funny that).
They remained chanting and bowing until the plane arrived at the gate.
Maybe common practice for business class Muslims upon landing in that part of the world?

I prefer free-pouring my own JD in the lounge 🎉

It could be that they have connecting flight with very little time to spare.

But standing up with a closed door doesn't give you much of an advantage...

It does if you have a seat near the back. You wont get passengers discussing their plans and stopping you getting off.

And they get delayed by passengers who think that its a race to get off the plane first and queue up when the doors aren't open yet

I think most stand up immediately upon landing in order to avoid phebitis.

I do because after sitting for 10-12 hours standing up is a relief.

If you've sat down for 12 hours , sitting down for 5 more minutes won't make much of a difference

I think in some area's...   (routes) there are a number of people who's cultural psyche means they operate under the 'FOMO mentality' (fear of missing out)... so everyone cause everyone else to stand up and people fear they'll get stuck unable to get off the plane, or be delayed somehow, consequently it turns into an uncivilised ruck.

I agree that it is just stupid to get up and stress yourself that you have to wait standing. What's the point?

Because you have been sitting for 10 hours and it's nice to get up and stretch your legs

A few years ago I was on a trip from London to Bangkok via Zurich.  Due to a technical issue with the plane at London, we were one hour late departing.  The connecting flight at Zurich was the last one of the day so those of us wishing to get on it were concerned.  The cabin crew promised to keep us updated but felt that we were likely to spend a night in a hotel in Zurich, courtesy of Swissair.

About 20 minutes before landing at Zurich, the cabin crew announced that the Bangkok flight was being held in Zurich to await our passengers.  The remaining passengers were asked to remain seated on arrival at Zurich to allow us off first.

When the plane stopped at the gate and the seat belt sign turned off, I was amazed that nobody moved!  I politely asked the passenger next to me to let me get up because I was on the Bangkok flight, grabbed my bag from the locker and left the plane.  I ran through the terminal and was the first of our passengers on the next plane (I was literally seated five minutes after leaving the last plane).  Everything was fine for the remainder of the trip.

And, yes, I too wonder why everyone immediately stands and waits for 8-10 minutes before being allowed off.

They do it to clog the aisles and slow the process of getting off the plane.

People who stand up and crowd the aisle as soon as the plane lands, when the doors aren’t even open why do you do that?
Just a question and would want to know people’s reasoning behind it ..
The seatbelt sign is still and there’s an echoing of seat belt clicks …
People scurrying to gather their belongings , yet the exit doors are still closed,
They stand impatiently shuffling until the doors open .. Then if you have to jump on a transfer coach you still have to wait for everyone else to get on
And go through the same security and passport control and then on to the same baggage reclaim as everyone else ..
You are literally stressing yourself out

My back and legs  hurts after sitting for long periods. Just standing helps a lot. It is also a way of signaling to my body and brain it is finally over.

Often depends on where your overhead baggage is located.

If by some chance it's 2 rows behind you for whatever reason then you either get there first or you're waiting until everyone else behind you gets off because they will not move back to let you get it - ever.

But if you are in the aisle seat, and stay seated, you may get dirty looks or abuse from the two other pax on your row.

I find it that those in rows behind you, usually let the ones in front get into the aisle first when getting off, or is it de-planing these days.

Isn't it amazing that such a great machine can get 2-300 pax all that way, and yet they all have to get out thru one door, unless a 380 or similar.

Make em wait . there is no need for them to be in a rush to get off so they can wait.

You can still get that🤯

I think its because they are a lot of idiots around ,  i just sit there until the last one has got off , then calmly get my carry on bag and stroll off the plane

What would you do if there was also someone else sitting there waiting to be the last person off ?

Would it become a competition to see who could wait the longest ?

Yes indeed, after sitting on your ass for hours the sooner you can stand and stretch is a relief,

Also why do people try to ingress into a train, tram car before letting the occupants egress,

but I digress, 🤔

A good reason to board promptly is to secure the bin directly overhead.
