Go into a 7/11 and raise your voice and they will call the police

Featured Replies

Well,   as the heading say's .....  if you go into a 7-11 and ask for something or want to complain,  they will call the police. Thai answer is, I'll call the cops ...

Thais are like this, total a_sholes imo.

7-11 staff cannot speak english ...        If you have an issue or problem,  no one will understand anyway  ...

Has anyone ever experienced this   .............

Why do you raise your voice?

What is the point?

And about no English. In case nobody told you, this is Thailand. Not everybody has to learn a foreign language just in case they meet you.

Good. I’m all for rude, hollering  a-holes being taken to task for their nonsense.

You really shouldn't live here - it is clearly not for you. Non stop complaints about Thais. Expecting minimum wage staff to speak English in Thailand, and then shouting at them! You are the one with issues, not the 7-Eleven staff.

I think the press got ahold of the CCTV.

sorry, disagree ....so you say no one has to learn english in a tourist orientated country that relies on their income.

I dare say that the staff of any establishment should do the same.

Never had a problem in a 7/11.  Often the staff know me in the one's I frequent.  It's always civil and pleasant.

Hopefully for the rest of us the cops will make sure you're jailed and deported. Thailand's a nicer place without rude and arrogant lowlife tourists.

What is there to argue about in a 7/11, or Lotus etc. You pick what you want off the shelves, go to the check out, make sure they have done all the items correctly, pay your money, check your change and Bing Bong....out you go.

Never in 13 years have I needed to shout or get angry in a 7/11, only if the microwave burger is still cold in the middle.

Who is Muslim?

Furthermore, to @OneMoreFarang's point, who dictates who "has to learn english" as you apparently would like?

Isn't it amazing how all these AN members think they know everything.

I'm talking about just asking a question in the shop,   not being aggressive or anything,  but you all know better ....   keyboard experts  !!   :vampire:

Right. So if you ask a question - "not being aggressive or anything" - they will call the police.

Delusional nonsense.

Thailand does not rely on tourist income, it is a small proportion of the country's income.
