Pocket Pistols

Is there any reasons why we should need a gun in Thailand?

Hardly a week goes by that there's not some report of a foreigner being savaged by a group of Thais in a "ten on one" attack. If you shoot one of them, the others would scatter.

Defending yourself or loved ones isn't murder. Someone pulls a gun on you, they're making what could be a fatal mistake on their part.

You're still in that Cowboy mentality of 200 years ago? Can't you learn? You killed already most of the Indians.

Quite possibly the black skydivers were active or former Army from SOCOM or CENTCOM or 82nd Airborne, Ranger type..

One was a fighter pilot according to you.

My guess is a typical hood rat isn’t into sky diving.

At least at Zephyr-Hills drop Zone, I can promise you, no black hood rat was allowed? Strange you are allowed to call a hood guy rat, while no one is allowed to call a person chosen by God a rat without certain forum members attacking you?

There was certainly many red necks skydiving and also persons who moved alot of kg if not tons of drugs across the boarders. We heard the planes take off during the after dark hours, and returning early morning once and awhile ever now and then.

So a dead drunk idiot in a red light districts should carry a gun now 😉😁

Show me the statistics why you feel it is necessary to gun up?

Paranoid

There isn't any stats saying you need to. It's a personal thing. Wanting to protect yourself isn't paranoia in these times. The one time you need that gun, you'll have it

I haven't killed any Indians. I use my guns for hunting, just like my bows and crossbow. When I return, I will get a handgun for self protection. If there weren't any criminals that prey on innocents, we wouldn't need to carry our own guns. Nothing to do with any cowboy mentality but self preservation.

There's still quite a few left. Some people don't understand what some Indians did to some innocent settlers.

Just buy a water pistol.

Cheaper, and they can also be scary.

It all depends upon what they are filled with.

Don't bring a water pistol to a gun fight

The best guns in Thailand are the ones next to the crapper.

No, just people who were looking to build a new life in the west. the Indians didn't own the land. No one did. All Americans are immigrants or related to immigrants.

That's another discussion, and I disagree. All humans are territorial and every tribes went to wars with other tribes to protect their land. Of course they owned the land they lived at and also lived off.

Why us it so difficult for some to understand simple elementary things?

People only own land if it's given to them by the government or they buy it. Of course, a long time ago, countries borders were set by people who killed and stole land as their own, thinking now they owned it. This is exactly how so many got mega rich in the US. They were given a small parcel of land by the government, then swindled, took advantage of because they were in debt,  or killed their neighbors to get more.

A nomad tribe moves around following the animals for food and supplies. They didn't own that land but thought it was theirs.

People did go to wars to keep land they thought was theirs. What makes it theirs individually? Taking it by force. You can say a particular people, like Italians, gravitated to Italy and made it their own, than later other tribes came there, trying to take that land by force. But they didn't own that land until laws came into effect and it was declared theirs by the government in charge. If all people came from one place, as it's been said, all other land was not owned but taken. Then it was given to them by those in charge by grants.

How was land claimed in America? The Homestead Act of 1862 was a revolutionary concept for distributing public land in American history. This law turned over vast amounts of the public domain to private citizens. 270 millions acres, or 10% of the area of the United States was claimed and settled under this act

Frommer Stop. Kind of obsolete for self defense, but great to signal bar girls. Cool retro euro gun resplendent of Cafes and red Hungarian wine, Fezzes and Kepis

Within the next 18 months or so, Im going to migrate to 5 Months USA and the rest split between Europe and Thailand/Cambodia. That much time in the USA necessitates I rearm.

Walking around with my pants dragging from just a cell phone (my butt has migrated to my belly) leads me to believe that my days of carrying a BHP or 1911 anywhere on my waist are over. Thats for under the seat.

In the past I have carried various pocket pistols, mostly Seecamps but also things like Budischowsky TP-70, Walther TP-22, Colt 1908, etc

Revolvers are too bulky, as are the old tip up Berettas. I dont classify early FN and Colt .32s as "pocket".

Any suggestions for a pocket pistol other than the Seecamps?  Has anyone worked with the Ruger LCP in terms of accuracy and function? Is anyone pocket carrying a NAA 22 mag? Anything new I should look at, Ive been away from guns for several years.

So why do you feel you need to carry, who are you scared of.Sad kinda life if your looking over your shoulder all the time,,can only say to you "get a life, before you feel the need to take one."

I carry one for the same reason I carry a pocket knife. Thanks for your input, but I reckon you have no advice to give.

Some good ones available during Songran. I bought a cracker from the market sprayed at least eight foot.

People in free states can obtain a Concealed Carry permit.

Actually, in 31 free States we have Constitutional Carry so no permit needed at all.
Concealed carry is allowed in all 50 states, clearly there are 4-5 that make it near impossible.
The remaining 15 states all have CCP and many have open carry with no lic. required.

So the USA is a really dangerous place?

Of course, with everybody so paronoid they all need to carry guns!

So don't accidentally bump into one of them or you might get a bullet in the head!

Guns are the great equalizer. All sane people should be armed.
