A crash occurred on the morning of 11 August, on Highway 204, near Wat Tan Lon in Pruyai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, when a trailer truck driver lost control and crashed head-on into a pickup truck, killing a young mother instantly.

Thailand Urged to Build Frigates at Home to Boost Industry

The Subcommittee on Equipment, ICT and Revolving Funds within the House of Representatives’ Budget Committee approved the Royal Thai Navy’s request for funding to procure a frigate valued at 17.5 billion baht. The Navy also sought Cabinet approval to amend an earlier resolution, allowing for the acquisition of two frigates in total, worth 35 billion baht, though funding is currently available for only one vessel.

Cybercrime officers issued a warning about a new type of cyberattack known as “Choicejacking,” which targets mobile phones via public charging stations. This advanced form of attack is an evolution of “Juice Jacking,” where hackers use disguised charging devices to trick phones into approving file transfers instead of just charging.

Discovery of Newborn Abandoned in Factory Bathroom Bin

A heartbreaking scene unfolded on the morning of 11 August, at a factory in Uthai district, Ayutthaya, when a newborn baby boy was found abandoned and lifeless in a plastic bin inside the women’s restroom. The infant, estimated to be born at 8 to 9 months’ gestation, was discovered at around 11:30 by factory staff.

Sierra Leone Man Caught Trying to Cross Border
