Grand jury declines to re-indict Letitia James in Virginia

"The Department of Justice failed to bring an indictment against Letitia James on Thursday after a federal judge tossed the initial indictment last week, according to a DOJ source.

The DOJ attempted to persuade a grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia to indict James a second time, the source said, after Judge Cameron Currie found that the prosecutor who brought the first indictment, Lindsey Halligan, was serving unlawfully as interim U.S. attorney.

The revelation that a grand jury did not indict James, one of President Donald Trump's top political foes, is a blow to the DOJ as it is rare that grand juries do not find enough probable cause to bring charges."

"Shortly after 9 a.m., grand jurors convened on the fourth floor of the Walter E. Hoffman courthouse, a marble-halled building in downtown Norfolk. A court security officer guarded the room where they met.

Their deliberations seemed to be brief and uncomplicated, and by lunchtime, the jurors appeared to have adjourned."

Well, we know it won't stop there, not with the truly weaponized "Department of Retribution Justice"

Now it matters not that James' mortgage application specifically stated she could rent the property out, provided she did not use a property management company. That is how she eventually rented it to a family member---directly. No, what matters is that she made the crybaby President angry, so no taxpayer expense will be spared trying to get back at her for actually following the law and charging Trump with his crimes, for which he was found guilty.

Perhaps we should applaud the fact that there is such little crime in the US today---no organized crime, no white collar crime (that isn't pardonable), no domestic terror threats such as Proud Boys or Oath Keepers who attacked the US Capitol, etc.---that DoJ has the time and personnel to try, try, and try again, until all of Trump's irritants are vanquished.

Perhaps James stuck chewing gum under her desk in 2nd grade? "Destruction of government property" could be the charge.

Since Trump's hand-picked lackey failed, perhaps he can appoint another 'crack' prosecutor like Sidney Powell---she of the Hugo "Lazarus" Chavez fame, and send Halligan back to something she is more qualified to do, like sell kitchen gadgets on Home Shopping Network..
