Take responsibility for your health

A short substack note from klimer's Eclectic Healing website >

....doctor's incomes are FAR more important than patient outcomes.

Whenever insurance is involved, that is the way it has always been. And always will be.

Name the siloed specialty, the result is always the same. Preserve expensive procedures, regardless of how ineffective and harmful they are.

The 50-year wars on heart disease and cancer prove that. Which is why five decades of research and billions of dollars spent have barely moved the needle on the two diseases most likely to kill the majority of us.

The outdated barbarism must be protected at all costs.

Divert some of that ill-gotten gain into marketing, to convince people that doctors are benevolent gods-in-white-coats. And divert some into punishing anyone who foolishly thinks that patient outcomes should come first.

Most insurance-reimbursed healthcare is an abusive relationship. Stay away, except for trauma care and dire emergencies. Even then, don't make decisions solely based upon their fear-based marketing. Think for yourself and take reasonable, informed risks. Those risks are usually smaller than the ones you'll encounter inside the system.

Educate yourself and you'll be better off. You have both a health incentive and a financial incentive to do so.

Or be a victim, and believe the corporate propaganda that your disease can only be treated (never cured) by the gods-in-white coats.
