Armed man shot and killed after entering secure perimeter of Mar-a-Lago, Secret Service says

An armed man drove into the secure perimeter of Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump’s resort in Palm Beach, Florida, before being shot and killed early Sunday morning, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Secret Service.

The man, who was in his early 20s and from North Carolina, had a gas can and a shotgun, according to Anthony Guglielmi, the spokesman. He had been reported missing by his family a few days ago, and investigators believe he headed south and picked up the shotgun along the way.

LE said drop them(shotgun & can), he chose to drop the can of gasoline,while raising the gun.

LE responded with shots on the perp. reporters asked if LE had body cams.

We don't know the motive. The deceased had gone missing such that his family were worried about him acting out of character, and posted him missing. He lost his older sister 2-3 years ago to a reckless driver, in a fairly horrific car wreck. So you don't know that its political violence, versus someone who just wanted some attention, and ultimately suicide by cop.

Rural North Carolina isn't exactly a hotbed of left-leaning ideology. It's more Krackabamastan than effete eastern intellectual snobs. It's even possible he could be a disillusioned MAGA, upset about tariffs, Epstein, the coming war with Iran, whatever. Then there's the chance he's just a wingnut with a gun, of which America is quite full.

Of course very long odds he could be a foreign intel asset trying to get some of that highly classified stash Trump used to keep out in the open, where members or even his hospitality staff could have had access.
