There was a fire at the West Ham ground on Monday - not a big one but big enough for the fire brigade to be called. When they arrived, Alan Curbishley shouted to them "Save the cups, save the cups!" so the fireman rushed into the canteen to save the cups. The also managed to save some plates and saucers.

Theives recently stole the entire contents of Manchester City's trophy cabinet.

Police believe the timing was during Spurs triumphant victory in the Carling Cup.

They hope to recover the stolen property, which consists of a small piece of blue carpet, some fluff which has been described as 'a bit smelly' and a signed copy of Thaksin where are you.

The value of the stolen property on the street is estimated at around 2 pence. The book Where are You would have been worth more, but sadly was already autographed; non autographed versions trade in the secondary market for 1 pound.
